Yeah, especially instructions/how to info. instead of 5 bullet points on a page, you thought it was somehow better to make a 7 minute video? No thanks.
You must be a good American! Not asking any questions.
What! Questions?

The overwhelming amount of posted videos shot with dash cameras of people ranting and rambling (or even speaking calmly) in the front seat of their cars, or walking around with a somehow-mounted GoPro and a little mic. It doesn't even matter if I agree or disagree with some of the points of their rants; the format just makes it lose all validity. Can't they just go inside and sit at a desk or a table? Is there a reason they have to shoot these things in their cars - can they not go inside for some reason? I imagine it's the fault of TikTok for the most part, but it just reduces whatever they're trying to convey into little more than noise, that I immediately navigate away from.
If I might add: the recent trend of showing a mic in front of the speaker, or holding a little clip on in front of them. It's very very easy to make the mic off camera, or just clipped on, or something else to make it less of the star of the production. It's absolutely an affectation, and now it's so obvious it's an instant turn off. Unless it's William.
Exactly. In my last job I bought small black lav mics that our sales staff could use to speak naturally. Then we hired the boss' daughter who taught them all how to pinch the mic so everyone knows they're serious about this social media thingâthey have a microphone. Instead of being a tool for communicating, it's a validation that you're not just playing, you are for real.

I have an induction moka pot for the van, and a portable induction cooktop, but the moka pot is too small to activate the induction cooktop... had to go back to butane for my morning joe.
maybe try a little pinch of java between your cheek and gum
North for a bit. We made a big loop through Idaho,Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Oregon to see a bunch of people we hadn't caught up with for far too long. Did some family stuff and a little business. I'll be south at the end of the month for a bit, and we are planning the long winter at the southern retreat again. I've also made some progress on the tropical project that will probably require a trip next year. Somehow cleaning up lose ends has become a lot more little projects...
Very cool...Hope that project comes to fruition so you can hire me. lol

heat powered espresso maker. They are a staple in every Italian kitchen for the last 75 years.
Sort of a mini percolator, but it doesn't cycle, just uses steam pressure to push water through the grounds once. They make a seriously good cup of coffee.
I use ours with a little butane burner, but got one that works with induction as I was planning power for the van. I have the power and an induction cooktop, but the moka pot is too small to activate the induction. I still got my coffee, just not per the plan.
Edit: Moka pots are cheap and fun. If you like coffee you owe it to yourself to try one. It's slightly more hassle, but if the power fails and you have a flame, it's a handy backup too.
