I tie my shoes they way they are tied in the video, with the second loop going over the first loop instead of under it( the part where the film-maker cautions the viewer by wagging his finger); apparently many people wrap the second loop under. Some people have told me I tie my shoes in a "left-handed" style, which makes no sense really, other than that I am left-handed.

I tie my shoes in the strangest, most inefficient manner. Neither of my parents could figure out where I learned how to do it that way. They both swore they didn't teach me. Apparently this knot is better, more slip resistant, than a regular granny knot. I didn't think I could learn how to tie my shoes differently. I was wrong.
