I subscribe to the Disneyland model of speakers: a lot at low volume scattered through the area. For that (and to stay in a reasonable budget) I like HomePod Mini. I have four of them scattered through the living room/den area. You can get them cheaper at BackMarket.com
Itâs possible to use one individually, but I like to match them up as stereo pairs. As Mary Poppins once told me: âQuite satisfactory.â

Wasn't an option last decade... but a good one now, especially if you're going for the low, ambient, everywhere feel.
I'd keep an eye out for an updated version of the mini. It's one of Apple's oldest products, and due for an update (rumored this fall... could be as early as the tuesday iPhone event).

I currently have a Sonos Beam in the living room and an Ikea Sonos Symfonisk lamp/speaker for the upstairs bedroom. The sound is good, but I have absolutely had it with the constantly glitching Sonos app (It really sucks, with no fix in sight). Plus, they only do WiFi streaming and I would like Bluetooth functionality as well. Any recommendations?
I have 3 pairs of Denon HEOS speakers (version 1), and they have been great. Mine are wifi only, but the new ones have bluetooth as well. I have 2 sets of what would be the 250's, and one of the 150's. Buying them in pairs (IMO) is a very worthwhile expense. They fill the rooms they are in nicely. I have also split one of the pairs between two smaller rooms that share an open wall...and it worked perfectly.
For a long while, the app by denon was weak... but the past several years it's been much better.
