lol the poor Rockies, one-hitting the Brewers 3-1 going into the top of the ninth. Gave up 4 runs, scored 2 to go extra innings and are now losing 9-5 in the 10th

edit: Now the Brewers have hit one and walked two to load the bases with nobody out.

Can't remember the last time I saw three players on the same team hit two homeruns in the same game.

Today, the Phillies pitcher Christopher Sanchez just finished his 5th straight game of 7+ scoreless innings.  He last surrendered runs in the first inning of a game at San Francisco on April 30th.

He broke the franchise record of scoreless innings (42.1 - Grover Cleveland Alexander did it 100+ years ago).  He still has a way to go for the MLB record.  Orel Hershiser went scoreless for 59.1 in the 80s. 

Swept out like the fallen popcorn in the bleachers. Couldn’t count on the rain to stop the carnage.
