lol the poor Rockies, one-hitting the Brewers 3-1 going into the top of the ninth. Gave up 4 runs, scored 2 to go extra innings and are now losing 9-5 in the 10th
edit: Now the Brewers have hit one and walked two to load the bases with nobody out.
edit: broken bat single scores 2
edit: Double play. Runner on 3rd with 2 outs
edit: Swinging K, Rox lose 9-7 in 10

Can't remember the last time I saw three players on the same team hit two homeruns in the same game.

Not mocking. Giants go to Denver to do battle for last place. We might be there Friday so check it out!
We'll be in section 105, row 3, next to the bullpen. $30 tickets!

Baseball is great because you always see something new....
Today, the Phillies pitcher Christopher Sanchez just finished his 5th straight game of 7+ scoreless innings. He last surrendered runs in the first inning of a game at San Francisco on April 30th.
He broke the franchise record of scoreless innings (42.1 - Grover Cleveland Alexander did it 100+ years ago). He still has a way to go for the MLB record. Orel Hershiser went scoreless for 59.1 in the 80s.

Thank God for rain postponement.
As bad as we are we are #1 in shutout wins in MLB.

Nothing does. Coaching (at least in the NHL) seems to be a crapshoot, a game of "what have you done for me lately?"

As a Montreal Canadiens fan, we lucked out. Hired an ex-NHL player back in 2022 (starting a rebuild) whose only coaching experience was with his son's Peewee team. This year, the team is in Round 2 (out of 4) of the playoffs.
