We had ourselves a Firefly marathon this past weekend. Neither of us had ever seen the show before and now we're hooked - the Serenity disc is supposed to show up today.

You must NOT watch the movie until you've finished the series. Don't ask why, but it's true.
Bah. Worked fine for me the other way 'round.
Could not possibly. Watching the movie after developing the emotional investment in the TV characters made the movie much more rich. Like watching the M*A*S*H finale without watching the shows preceding.
I watched the first two discs and have no idea where I put the third one. I've been, I think, two episodes shy of finishing and I refuse to watch the movie until I find that disc and watch the end of the series.
ABSOLUTELY!

And in case you haven't OD'd on Firefly/Serenity already:
- Dark Horse has the first few pages of the next Serenity comic posted. - Browncoat Ball 2010 will be in Charlotte this year. - Jose Molina is giving interviews here and here. Probably more to come since the book came out today.
You are so patient. The tidbits are too few and too far between for me... it just makes me sad. Best damn TV show EVER. :pout:

You know, it shouldn't be shameful to be smart and have imagination. But we let other people tell us that it's a flaw.
Well now I dunno about that. Personally, I've been banking on smarts, imagination, and of course "the kindness of strangers" my whole life. While gender shouldn't have anything to do with it, we all know that in reality it does. And being a geeky girl has always been cooler than being a girly geek. Oh wait! That's not what I meant. Than being a dude geek. Although that is changing. Which is a good thing. Thanks to the OC and Chuck and such the geek as heartthrob is gaining ground. Although for some of us Clark Kent was always more interesting and way hotter.
