Right, because when your'e '20's snotty' you cannot envision middle-age, much less paunch. When I was '20's snotty' myself the possibilty wasn't on the radar, and I don't think people have changed very much since the late 70s'.

We aquire wisdom when it's too late (If I had known at 22 what I know now...) - it's about as useful as a comb is to a bald person.

A clear reminder that the guy that walks into practice w/ the PA gets to be singer.

He's also the guy with the most money; the singer's father was a millionaire playboy and co-founder of Elite Modeling Agency.  Pretty good tune, though.
Last ni-i-i-ight... you can't hurry love... in a town called malice!

I've always found this song completely uninteresting.  Musically pretty boring and the singer sounds like he's trying way too hard to sound like he's not trying hard enough.

P.S. That comment from pcicatar is hilariously true.  I have a small amount of experience recording small bands in small studios....anyway, I always used to say that I was sick and tired of bands with singers who were the only person in the band who didn't feel any need to study music.
I would like this song more if parts of it weren't so "similar" to American Girl, as many others have noted.

Comments like these make me want a comment-specific "like" feature.
One of the few Strokes songs I like.

too true, blue.   Love it.

These guys would have to do a lot more heroin and chill out a bit to get close to Velvet Underground... Not to mention Lou Reed type would have to join the band.

But Im really liking this energy!:

Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)
Strokes - Last Nite
The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Impression That I Get
Fats Domino - Blue Monday

These guys we so hot for awhile. Are they still out there?

From their website:

When are the Strokes coming back?
The guys are set to get together and get back at it early 2009.

THIS ALBUM DESERVES A FULL 10!!!
Seven years straight and haven't tired of it yet.
Shame everything after sucked.

What is Velvet Underground without art?  Ok, that might be a bit harsh.  But these guys are (were?) no Velvet Underground.

Wha wha wha. . .?! The Strokes?!? RP just got a lot more rockin'.
I've never heard this on RP. Hell yeah, Bill!
This song brings back great memories of some pretty raucous evenings. Makes me feel tipsy just hearing it. Thanks Bill. Always good to feel tipsy at work.
Predictable; boring
WOW! Two premieres in one night!
