It's to bad that this song is going to remind people of a COPD commercial that's running constantly on TV these days.  I hope it was worth it for the estate to sell the rights for those commercials.

I saw Nina Simone on consecutive nights at Ronnie Scott's sometime in the 1980s.  The first night she was sublime (which prompted me to buy a ticket for the following night); sadly the second night she was awful.  I believe she was a very tempermental performer, but when she was on song, boy was she on song!

PERFECT - an icon of a song, performance and arrangement. If this would be a benchmark not much left that would stand its ground beside this.

music can transport an aura of the perfoming artist, this is an example as is some of dylans best work - when listening there is more than just the music fading in the room and mind of the listener - there is also a almost physically imprint of the performer

This song is so much bigger than life in so many ways, the Wall of Sound before we even knew what that really was, and despite what we know about her suffering on so many levels, there is always that moment of freedom from fear, loathing and sickness unto death and that all combines together in this beauty of performance, true to its mark, felt deeply, vibrating through my heart, heard by my ears and celebrated in my mind.   I love this song
