Norah Jones — Crazy (live)
Crazy, crazy for feeling so lonely
I'm crazy, crazy for feeling so blue
I know, you'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you would leave me for somebody new
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering, what in the world did I do?
Crazy, of thinking that my love could hold you
Oh I'm crazy for tryin'
And crazy for cryin'
And I'm crazy for loving you
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering, what in the world did I do?
Crazy, of thinking that my love could hold you
Oh I'm crazy for tryin'
And I'm crazy for cryin'
And I'm crazy for loving you.
I'm crazy, crazy for feeling so blue
I know, you'd love me as long as you wanted
And then someday you would leave me for somebody new
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering, what in the world did I do?
Crazy, of thinking that my love could hold you
Oh I'm crazy for tryin'
And crazy for cryin'
And I'm crazy for loving you
Worry, why do I let myself worry?
Wondering, what in the world did I do?
Crazy, of thinking that my love could hold you
Oh I'm crazy for tryin'
And I'm crazy for cryin'
And I'm crazy for loving you.

couldn't have said it better, they sound like a band i see at the rodeo bar....where there is no cover.

No one can sing it like Patsy Cline.
Nobody should sing it like patsy. This was markedly better. Still not something I would chose to listen to, mind you, but so much better than patsy. Norah added life to the song.
Original= CLASSIC GREATNESS
Norah Jones\' pseudo-jazz cover=TOTAL RUBBISH.
A little more country stuff would only add to the ecleticism and RP\'s greatness.

Well said.

Folks, I have a problem.
I think I\'m in love with Norah. Man oh man, what I wouldn\'t do for a girl like Norah...
I guess I\'m crazy for loving her. :D

Great cover though!
I believe the previous posts were refering to dynamic range compression rather than data comperssion. Two different things. If the dynamic range is overcompressed it sounds bad even at 16 bit 44.1 kHz like a CD. This is something the mix engineer is responsible for.

Thanks for the pointer to the Norah Jones music on that site.
Awesome cover of an awesome song!

There\'s just something lost in the translation...
Passable, but doesn\'t hold a candle to others doing this tune.
Nice, but I\'d really like to hear some REAL Patsy Cline on RP.
Jesus.
Was the taper's bootleg deck actually sitting on top of the bas player's speaker cabinet?
Good cover!
The only thing that bothers me a bit (apart from sound quality (waaaay too much compression), but OK, a bootleg...) is the bassplayer... (S)he could've been a bit more inventive, and that what (s)he plays doesn't combine well with the rest!
Sorry you\'re bored. I think she has melded the 30\'s style lounge style with a Bonnie Raitt like rock voice. And this is an amazingly wonderful rendition of a truely classic American tune.

She does nothing for me. Blah.
I've wondered about all the attention myself and much of her work has failed to spark much interest from me for exactly the reasons you state. It's the same reaction I had(have)to Sade, especially when she got an inordinate amount of attention. There just wasn't enough variety to catch my ear.
That said, I'm OK with the work on Crazy here. It's a great song and, like a patron in an art gallery, this version gives me another chance to walk around it and see it from different perspectives.
Although I do think her album is great, it does suffer from a lot of similarity in the style.
Doesn't bother me, though. To each h own.
BTW, You can download songs (including this one) from her webpage ;)
a most excellent song stylist; thanks for the bootleg. Norah has excellent musical sensibilities.
