Moments of perfection
Idle in the sunshine
Over there in yonder
In another world

I'm not your kind
I'm not your girl
Dreams we had seemed bright
And passed the time

Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini

Sunlight in your eyes
Driving over stateside
Left the smoke behind us
Could we be together in another world?

I'm not your kind
I'm not your girl
See I'm in your car
But not your life

Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini
Cologne cerrone, cerrone Houdini
Cerrone Houdini

Sunlight in your eyes
Sunlight in our eyes
Like diamonds in your hair

Standing the test of time extremely well. My ratings are climbing.
I'm going to increase my rating, purely for the bombast of the title alone.
This is beautiful and interesting...

I see shades of Adam Ant. With less makeup, obviously.

Speaking of which, I loves me some AA - but have never heard it on RP. An oversight on Bill's part?

Nice! She has a lovely voice.
Sounds like it should be a Bond song. And that is good.
I turned my son-in-law onto Felt Mountain and he had the same reaction I did.  "I want more of this - I'm buying every Goldfrapp album."  Me, "well there isn't much more of that.  Their other albums are... different."  Except for a few tracks - like this one
Harry!Harry!
Suddenly I imagine Marlene Dietrich in a Hollywood movie or Madeline Kahn in Blazing Saddles.
Shiver me timbers, that's a good song!

Cool groove in this tune.
Bit of a Serge Gainsbourg / Melody Nelson vibe with that bass and those strings. Sure it is not an accident. Love it!
Stunning.

That is one baroque song name, supported by a baroque album cover.
First casual listen and thought it was a new Kate Bush song.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Goldfrapp can do no wrong, it seems :)

Beware the pouty pirate with segmented eyes. Her voice will lull you in sure enough.

The cover of her latest CD, which I just bought, is much better.  I can't imagine you meant the song is the worst ever (OK, got that part), but the cover art is the best ever?
Something off the new CD was on last night and I jumped over to her website, and looked through the videos. I really like a few of her songs, but they have done a lot of crap, and made even worse videos for them. Makes you wonder what she could do with better collaboration.
the cover...she looks like an olsen twin.
I love this song.
Arrgh maties, A grand singin siren she be!
my nipples are getting way hard to this.... I'm in my Winnebago and dancin

I rather like this (it's in my RP Favorites playlist) and don't find the lietmotif orchestral hits to be that annoying, although I can easily see how they could be! :-)

Man I needed that today.  Thank you!{#Biggrin}
This song makes me want to run in mid air in slow motion.
Everybody in my street loves this song!

At least, I think they do, they keep banging on my door. They must want to join my party, I'll turn it up so they can dance in the street!

Well, you're wrong. This song is wonderful, I think. You may not like it, but that doesn't make it awful. Sorry. BTW, 8 from me.

Yes, it is a smooth groove, and the bass-line is quite cool.

Gosh, this song is awful. Rated 1. I hardly ever do that... {#Beat}

Thank you for playing Goldfrapp! So good! (Whenever I play her for others, they always ask, "Who is she?" Her Starbucks name is a little unfortunate, though.)

BTW, I just checked wikipedia, at 44 years old, she is no kid.
I really like this woman's range. She has this down to earth, almost raspy voice, but then she nails those extreme highs. Impressive.

Too much is just enough. The kind of theatrical pretentious puffery I really enjoy, because it's done for the sugary indulgence of it all.

Wow.  I was confident this was Jason Mraz - but no?

Not bad.
One of the very few songs on RP that actually make me switch to another station.

Tender, soft, with this combination of Cologne, Cerrone and Houdini it sounds very 1920s (sorry for Cerrone who is more like French disco of the 70s, later 80s and then 90s/2000s...)

I called them "Goldcrapp" from a previous song....and apologized.Songs like this well produced number can change my opinion.
in my view one of the weaker songs on the album with happiness, A&E and caravan girl being lots better
