I am waiting in a world you don't want
Suffocating by an endless weak spot
Please know, up here,
My hands are tied up too from
All I can see
Makes it hard for me
The last one to say
Good son
One more day
You know I am here, but I am losing
Faith in what I see you celebrating
I know, up here,
I'll be proven guilty
All I can see
Makes it hard for me
The last one to say
Good son
One more day

First track of theirs that I've heard on RP since "Love Yourself" (which is a FANTASTIC tune).
Nice to know that these guys are definitely NOT a one-hit wonder.
Starting at a 7 for this one, and I'm sure it'll only go up with time.

Very nice find on Radio Paradise! I have not heard this band. I will delve into them further.

The Boxer Rebellion is one of those bands you gotta give 8s and unders to... now. As the more you listen the more you will want to bump 'em up to 9s, and even maybe a 10 here or there, too.

Absolute !10! Crank the shit outta this and piss off the neighbors. Not really. I wouldn't do that. No.
This song was just played after "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode, and the riffs in the background are not identical, but have a very similar sound and it's really tripping me out! Like words being spoken in a language you don't understand, I keep trying to place the melody to Enjoy the Silence and never quite getting there.
Saw these guys five years ago in an intimate venue in DC after discovering them through RP. Couldn't for the life of me understand why the place wasn't sold out -- but it meant I could stand just a few rows back from the stage for part of the concert. I love their gorgeous melodies and vocals.
How can I give a score of 11? I'm looking, but not finding it? All i can see...is one more day.
Easily superior to the Y Front Insurgency
Never heard of but I LOVE this
Excellent tune - now looking at the photo on Wikipedia - talk about shoe gazing...
Good sound good tune

What a pretty dual guitar attack. You want to play the riff, but realize you can't do it on your own. I think this song was sampled later, and I can understand why.
Absolutely loving this. One of their best tunes by far!
Totally agree with 1Wolfy, great band I discovered from RP!

I thought it was The Bodeans for a minute or two.
Too bad you do not like them..after visiting your ratings of other fine musicians, I'm rather surprised in your lack of interest in the Boxer Rebellion misterbearbaby wrote:

What a fantastic brooding, moody, darkly ethereal tune.
Wonderful and intelligent mood-food. This whole album is excellent.

Really like this track. Something about the intermingling of the vocals and instrumentation gives me a bit of that spinetingly feeling, plus it's toe-tappingly good.

how about radio silence from turin brakes. it is quite self explanatory...

ok, options to follow this peaceful section.
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (begins "is here anybody in there")
Regina Spector - November Rain (as the DJ is asleep)
Eagles - The Last Resort (Call somewhere Paradise, kiss it goodbye)
Simon & Garfunkel - sound of silence (being as "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was 2 songs ago this could conflict with RP policy)
Bjork - Its oh so quiet
David Gilmour - Murder (are you OK Bill?)
any more?

Sounds like a huge privilege... I'm from the Netherlands, the only thing i'd really wish to go to would be the Austin City Limits festival... A cousin of my was there and had a blast there... Of course i'd like to see more but if i had to choose, i'd choose to attend the ACL festival...

Just heard this song for the first time last night on the TV show "Human Target" and then heard it this morning here! (Lucky Me!)I can't believe I haven't heard this before now. What a great song, I'm going to go itunes and take a listen to the album. If this song is a good representation of the album I think I'm going to be a new fan!

All tiresome discussions of what is seminal aside—sorry ladies, no intended machismo behind this phrase—I think this song is pretty good ... definitely not what you hear on your typical radio station—at least not the ones I have access to here in the north-east of the south of the north of the west

You don't think Beethoven and Mozart—both contemporaries of the next composer—were influenced by Handel?
Just in these past twenty years, a lot of rock owes a huge debt to the intriguing sounds created by The Edge and his battery of gizmos and effects.
