You can take me to paradise,
And then again you can be cold as ice
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice.
You can take me anytime you like,
I'll be around if you think you might love me baby,
And hold me tight.
Your mood is like a circus wheel,
You're changing all the time,
Sometimes I can't help but feel,
That I'm wasting all of my time.
Think I'm looking on the dark side,
But everyday you hurt my pride,
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice,
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice.
And then again you can be cold as ice
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice.
You can take me anytime you like,
I'll be around if you think you might love me baby,
And hold me tight.
Your mood is like a circus wheel,
You're changing all the time,
Sometimes I can't help but feel,
That I'm wasting all of my time.
Think I'm looking on the dark side,
But everyday you hurt my pride,
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice,
I'm over my head,
But it sure feels nice.

I love this song so much. So pleasant.

Definitely had (have?) a crush on her!
Was always a Christy McVie guy. Just loved her voice.
Might have had a bit of a crush on her as well.

Christine's compositions were always a refreshing counterpoint to the Nicks/Buckingham songs (which I mostly liked too). They helped bring a nice balance to the albums I thought.

By the way, these lyrics pretty much reflect every argument my (infinitely) better half and I have ever had. I'm such a miserable git to live with on the best of days...
What is with so much recently of Rumors? geez Bill!

Christine McVie has a beautiful, direct, and totally convincing way of singing. Such a lovely songwriter too. Watched her recently on solo piano in a Rumours documentary - enthralling.

One of the few FM songs that hasn't been overplayed to death - or, at least, one of the few overplayed FM songs that still sounds good to my ears :)
Ah, Christine.
The lead single from Fleetwood Mac (1975). Even though this band had been around for almost a decade, this was the first time I'd ever heard them. Living in Cental Minnesota (a/k/a/—a cultural Siberia) will leave you a little lacking in the ways of pop culture. It's been played to death since then, but it still sounds good. Let's give it an inaugural spin.
