Childhood living is easy to do
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady you know who I am
You know I can't let you slide through my hands
Wild horses couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer a dull aching pain
Now you decided to show me the same
No sweeping exits or offstage lines
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind
Wild horses couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away
I know I dreamed you a sin and a lie
I have my freedom but I don't have much time
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried
Let's do some living after we die
Wild horses couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we'll ride them some day
Wild horses couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses, we'll ride them some day
The things you wanted I bought them for you
Graceless lady you know who I am
You know I can't let you slide through my hands
Wild horses couldn't drag me away

That's just bloody awful.
Really people? Song versions have to start somewhere, this might well have been the original.. Be thankful they are still working, and working well I may add!!
Nice variation.
Preview of coming events:

Is it wrong that I prefer Belly's version of this?

I tend to disagree. Is that Jagger singing? — I assume so, must be, gotta be, who else? — but he's not singing in the affected off key drawl and whine of other songs of the 80s to the early '00s. He actually sounds like he cares, and I can hear it. And the arrangement is a little bit less downbeat—busted love is bad enough, do we really need the self loathing and impenetrable regret?—which has often put me off this song a bit and prods me to psd it when the studio version pops up.
"He (Jagger) actually sounds like he cares"
.... your ears need cleaning and your crap detector is broken
.... Moscow's Man has your interests at heart
LMAO

Yeh, no. Sorry, pales in comparison to studio. Voice shot, nap time, phoned it in.

Wrong about the voice and clueless about the meaning of a "stripped down" version.

Assume Keef was out trying to get hooked up with his Man and just got into the studio at the halfway point.
Lovely version of a superlative piece of work. 10 from me.

Charlotte Martin puts it right
