With your E's
And your ease
And I do one more
Need a lip gloss boost
In your america
Is it God's
Is it your's
Sweet saliva
With your E's
And your ease
And I do one more
I know we're dying
And there's no sign of a parachute
We scream in catherdrals
Why can't it be beautiful
Why does there
Gotta be a sacrifice
Just say yes
You little arsonist
You're so sure you can save
Every hair on my chest
Just say yes
You little arsonist
With your E's
And your ease
And I do one more
Well I know we're dying
And there's no sign of a parachute
In this Chapel
Little chapel of love
Can't we get a little grace
And some elegance
No we scream in cathedrals
Why can't it be beautiful
Why does there
Gotta be a sacrifice

really, this sort of puts music to my feelings about Trump being elected
Cannot relate and am grateful for that...

I hear Tori, but I see Melisandre.

Sounds like a collaboration between Ani Defranco, Bjork, and Yoko.
noise
Great tune from one of her top 3 albums for sure.   Great recording quality too!
Yup. Not feeling it at the moment. Song title describes how it sounds to me. =8^o

Well, she's not Poe, is she?
In my (nowhere near humble) opinion Tori Amos is one of the few female musician/singers with mojo. I think that's
why so many people find her too hard to take. I, on the other hand, love it !
Fantastic song; surprised at the low ratings and negative comments.

I'm not a fan of Tori or this song, but most "artists" are intrinsically self-indulgent.

I agree, Tori Amos can be self indulgent in her music but this is a great trak off the album. Yes, I'm a fan.

Nice album cover. I can picture it now... the artist sits down with Ms. Amos in front of his computer... pops in the CD to get a feel for it... opens the flatbed scanner... crams her face in it and starts slamming the lid. {#Lol}

I generally like listening to Tori (watching is, inexplicably, a different thing), but this piece is really terrible.

One of my favorite Tori albums and songs

Hmm.  For the first time since I've been listening to RP, a trifecta of three songs I dislike in a row showed up.  No worries, I'm sure things will change soon.

A what? Trilogy I've heard of, trio even, but trifecta? Nice song, though - very Kate Bush-like (which will no doubt put many listeners off it). 7 from the Nottingham jury.

Never liked Tori too much

Comments are entertaining, though

I've been a Tori Amos fan since her very first album, and I think this is one of her best songs.  It's certainly among my favourites.

I know Tori has her fan(atics), but she just don't do it for me.  I know some of her background, and I respect her right to write songs however she wants, but for me the tortured artist vibe is just too strong, to the point where it becomes a caricature.  I try not to hate, but Lord it's tough sometimes.

A little bit of Tori goes a long way for me . . .  This is a bit too much Tori . . . {#Curtain}

Gives me goosebumps.. I know its contraversial to love Tori but I do!!! xoxo Tori! This rocks me

Total suckfest. ONE
Tori, I'd like to buy a vowel.
i i e e e is what I want to scream when I hear this. For the love fo all that is decent please purge this Tori Amos sounds (I hesitate to call it music).
what is this CRAP??? a negative 1

Every time this song comes up on the playlist, I think RP's playlist machine has broken again and is spewing garbage.
Umm, I wanna hear it again.
One of her best but gets no airplay. Thanks for the treat RP!
Wow, I'm not the biggest Tori fan but this is badass.
Amazingly, brilliantly nuts
nice transition from massive attack! makes up for the moody blues, gotye, ululating mummies, steely dan playlist.
"Can't we get a little grace And some elegance" --Tori the Genteel
LOVE this song!
Just say yes You little arsonist

lmao. This is GREAT MUSIC. Experimental, wild. Undulating. Muse.
May I just say this,(this doesn't have anything to do with this song) someone down there said something about Kate Bush... Kate Bush blows hardcore and any association of her with Tori Amos, real or imagined personally offends me. This song... makes me ovulate.
something about tori, maybe it's the red hair, the full lips, the crazy eyes, her bright talent, . . she's hot (not the kind of gal to bring home to meet the parents . . . )
Well, it\'s certainly... different.
i i e e e ... ...i i e e e i i o o o ...

Love it. Love it love it love it!!!
yikes, hard to listen to.
Tori!
O M G ... garbage
My first thought is when the hell is this horrific noise going to end.....(continued on the next song)
my first 1

Man ... I'm a big Tori fan but this absolutely blows.
I am one of the "die hards" everything she sings makes me sing out loud.
For a song named i i e e e this isn't that bad.

*yawn*
Just can't give Tori the same kind of love as I do for Kate Bush. Tori's always so swoopy and DRA-MA-TIC. Kate does that too, but her songs have humor and optimism.

Whoa- Now that is an interesting ratings distribution.

I have had a damn hard time with Tori ever since "Crucify" rocked my world. That song was comprehensible and poetic, but everything since, pretty much, has been lyrically opaque. Some very nice melodies ("Cornflake Girl" and "Raspberry Swirl" in particular), but she seems to be using the English language as her own private code, where words have emotional resonance but are disconnected from any narrative or context. It's like I'm just seeing tiny fragments of a bigger picture, which I don't have nearly enough information to reconstruct. Intriguing and infuriating.
Can you say "abstract"? Heck, that's my fave thing about Tori. She's gone from a very straightforward "here's exactly what I'm singing about" to (for my ears) a very challenging and poetic use of language. In some cases, the words, and how they're spoken and produced, seems to be used as more of a musical instrument than a vocal. I've been fascinated by the evolution she's gone through, and pleased that (other than "1000 oceans") she hasn't tried to mutate her hard-built cult status into a mainstream success. I'd hope that, even if ya hate her, she'll be appreciated for trying to merge pop music sensibilities with art... there's not much challenge or abstraction on the radio these days, and much as I love me some plain old motown, it's nice to hear something big & different.
Very cool. The addition of a full backing band on this album makes for some impressive songs, this is definitely one of my favorites.
This would be a great song if it was a different song altogether sung by someone else. YUCK!!
Bill, this song does not jive with my beer's karma
The fast distorted part (that sounds like the product of her friendship with trent reznor) is great-- would be a good song if there was more of that and less of the rest of the song.
Oh, the drama <-o<

Ooohhh....love this song. Haven\'t listened to this cd in some time. Very sensual album.
The name of the song pretty much says it all.
:(
Some of her stuff is decent, but this one is pretty annoying.
This song makes me feel like playing that \"game\" with Christopher Walken in the Deer Hunter.....

You know good question. Sad thing is the beat and rhythm is a first impression with me. Not that I don't eventually listen to lyrics. Tori's lyrics are always worthwhile for me to "get to know" on a later basis I guess.
Definitely one of my favorite Tori songs.

hmmm, that's the same reason i like her. and Kristin Hersh, M. Stipe and all those other opaque, poetic lyricists. but that's just me
She forgot a few vowels but not how to sing and make music. Good stuff to listen to :D
I know I keep talking about it but on VH1 Storytellers she did a terrific version of this song. The chitchat before the tune was interesting as well.
