Come on and let me taste your stuff
Baby, sweet baby, bring me your gift
What surprise you gonna hit me with
I am waiting here for more
I am waiting by your door
I am waiting on your back steps
I am waiting in my car
I am waiting at this bar
I am waiting for your essence
Baby, sweet baby, whisper my name
Shoot your love into my vein
Baby, sweet baby, kiss me hard
Make me wonder who's in charge
I am waiting here for more
I am waiting by your door
I am waiting on your back steps
I am waiting in my car
I am waiting at this bar
I am waiting for your essence
Baby, sweet baby, I wanna feel your breath
Even though you like to flirt with death
Baby, sweet baby, can't get enough
Please come find me and help me get fucked up
I am waiting here for more
I am waiting by your door
I am waiting on your back steps
I am waiting in my car
I am waiting at this bar

I am waiting for this song to end....
Aren't you the clever one... </sarcasm>
You've posted that same thing twice already here.
Oh... and there's the PSD button if you want it to end.
Education is a wonderful thing, embrace it.
He sometimes plays with Greg Brown.
Greg is from Highway 61 territory in SE Iowa.
Highway 61: Dylan country.
Hence: this song makes sense now.

why wait? use the PSD/forward button.
Music snobbery at its best (worst). I commented about the music. You commented about me.
One in the same from where I sit. You disrespected Lucinda, I your disrespect. She is an immensely talented women more than worthy of your lame comment. Bring something to the table worthy of respect and it will be yours.
After enough hearings, the Police song "Every Step You Take" morphed from a tale of infatuation to what even Sting admitted was sort of a paranoid, control freak vibe. I'm starting to feel the same way about this song - "I am waiting by your door, I am waiting in my car, I am waiting in this bar" - doesn't she sound like a female stalker a la Fatal Attraction?
Bob Slattery refers to Uncle Lomax as condroizal.
and at this bar
looking at this star
wishing you'd play Johnny Marr
and playing for par
even though i put far
i like Teri Garr
who now has SARS
...... essence essence... peasants
i like to rhyme.... BIG TIME!
Gotta tell ya...
This song just oozes sex, shadows, sneaking around, sweat, humidity, blurred vision, and slow motion movements. And no A/C...just fans.
maybe Bo Ramsey on guitar, too.
tis Bo on guitar, awesome groove

She should hang out with the Devlins
They don't. They play whatever version of the song they have. Some have edits, some do not.
I heard no edits, and Fukd up was in there.. what's the issue, I guess a previous version perhaps had a crash edit, glad it's fixed, if that is the reference used above. Bit of a bummed out Junkie tune.. love ya Lucinda... and will miss your guitar work.. but keep on signing.. and hope for Pt to let you play again..
bloody living legend that gal.
and Doug Pettibone is definitely one of my fav guitar players along with John Mcgeoch
And don't forget Bo Ramsey. He's also played with Greg Brown. It's an Iowa thing, I think.
Hard to beat Lucinda for raw power.
She certainly brings a lot of energy to whatever she performs.
I don't care about the context, but I'm unpleasantly surprised to find that RP edits the music. I never realised that they did that. Hmmmm.
They didn't to the one I just heard. I think like most things it's the usual human error and should be a new olympic sport - jumping to conclusions. As someone else said, they play the version they have.

"Waiting in my car, waiting in the bar..."
Lucinda, Alison Krause, Robert Plant. and Kathleen Edwards
Skip ahead, you are not worthy of being here. Lucinda is top shelf. You just can't reach it ...yet. Keep trying though, there is always hope.

Skip. Awful. Her songs are a slow grate-fest on my nerves. But then so many of my favorite bands do the same to others.

You must be kidding me!! They didn't use to!!!!!! Bill? What's up with that???
I doubt you'll see this, but RP doesn't edit anything, they just use whatever version of a song they have. Some are censored, some are not.
And every time a song with a dirty word plays, some pearl-clutcher or punk in the comments complains - depending on whether it was or wasn't censored. I think it's kind of funny, even though I lean toward the punk's "censor nothing!" attitude.
One of two female singers who unfailingly give me goose bumps (like I've got right now). The other is KD.
Emmylou Harris and Annie Lennox for me.
I've got to see that movie now...
LW sounds like Eliza Gilkyson here.
I know it can be because I bought the beautifully fucked up version on iTunes!
It 's a very "arousing song".

I was taken aback at first, but the music is awesome if you listen for it
the lyrics are great if you let Lucinda sing them to you

To wit:
Baby, sweet baby, I wanna feel your breath
Even though you like to flirt with death
Ugh.
Couldn't speak to the albums, but these lyrics are pretty much paint-by-numbers.

Bus stations by definition are seedy. At least in America. My last trip on a Greyhound was a cramped and prolonged reacquaintance with the unwashed masses...
LOL !
Promoted to 10.
Song at the right time, at the right place.
Interesting; I love this album and definitely prefer it to Car Wheels.
The cover photo for this album are flower petals.
Georgia O"Keefe painted orchids...lots of orchids..very sensual orchids.
I mean...ya see what I'm getting at with good ole Lucinda?
love, love, love Lucinda.
Cool down.
That could be Bo Ramsey playing 2nd guitar.
She should get Kathleen Edwards out of retirement and they tour together in the Summer in small, hot, sweaty venues. What a freakin show that could be.
Cool down. Cool down.
