Oh I am just a vagabond
A drifter on the run
And eloquent profanity
It rolls right off my tongue
And I have dined in palaces
Drunk wine with Kings and Queens
But darlin', oh darlin'
You're the best thing I've ever seen
Won't you roll me easy
Oh slow and easy
Take my independence
With no apprehension,no tension
You walki' talkin' dream paradise
Sweet pair a' dice
Well I been across this country
From Denver to the ocean
And I never met girls who could sing so sweet
Like the angels that live in Houston
Singin' "Roll me easy, so slow and easy...
Play that Concertina,I'll be your temptress..."
And baby I'm defenseless
Singin' harmony
In unison
Sweet harmony
Gotta hoist your flag and I'll beat your drum
A drifter on the run
And eloquent profanity
It rolls right off my tongue
And I have dined in palaces
Drunk wine with Kings and Queens
But darlin', oh darlin'
You're the best thing I've ever seen
Won't you roll me easy
Oh slow and easy
Take my independence

For so many years I thought Lowell had little feet.

Some songs make me just stop whatever I'm doing and listen. This is one of them.
An easier ten was never given!

Love the Feat. Very Important band for me. Saw them behind a high school inSanta Cruz in 79. W Bonnie, John Oates and Jane Fonda. Up against the 4’ riser. What a show!!

That's pretty f-ing rude. You should be ashamed.
In spite of the mood you put me in into this is a great tune.
Shamelessness is the mode for many. A sad but true reality is that people like this exist and that boards like these are where they leave their droppings for the unsuspecting to step in.
It is a great tune from a great band. I hope it brought you back to a sweet spot before it was over.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL!!! FAB-U-LICIOUS LOWELL : )
Interesting bit of trivia:
I recently discovered that this song was the inspiration for the name of Peekskill Brewery's Roll 'em Easy Pale Ale.
I love the song; haven't yet tried the beer.

Just going about my day and Lowell nailed me in place yet again. RIP Fatman.
Lowell's son lives in Austin, he called in to one of the local morning radio shows not long ago. Seemed pretty interesting.
What a treat!!! Roll um easy.... slow and easy...
My brother turned me on to Little Feat... considered alternative rock back in the 70's. Thanks Steve! You were my Radio Paradise back in the day.

Don't forget the opening on the LP of "Join the Band" before the kick off of Fat Man. Back in the day, if you had a good turntable and headphones you could hear Lowell (i presume) snorting a few lines...

One of my favorite Feats . . . actually, one of my favorites, period.
This may have been one of his finest...and that's sayin' something. Rest easy Lowell.

It's funny - the best concert I ever went to, and the worst concert I ever went to were both Little Feat. One bad concert won't tarnish my view of this great band for too long.
