What do you want to hear when we're making love
What do you want to hear when we're making love
Can I take you from behind and hold you in my arms
What do you want to hear when we're making love
Can I take you from behind and feel you in my heart
What do we need to re-live to bring us close

Why don't you do it to me
Why don't you do those things to me
Why don't you do it to me
Why don't you do those things to me

Four fall in a bed, three giving head, one getting wet
Four fall in a bed, three giving head, one getting wet

What do you want to hear when we're making love
Can I hold you from behind and tell you that it's me
Why don't you do it to me
Why don't you do those things to me
Why don't you do it to me
Why don't you do those things to me

The love drug is a bug that cuts us both uo
Why don't you do those things to me
Why don't you do it of me, why don't you do those things to me
What can I say to you when we're making love
I could take you from behind and make you live

What do you need me to say when we're making love
I can take you from behind and then I'll forgive

Why don't you do it to me
Why don't you do those things to me
Why don't you do it to me
Why don't you do those things to me

The new website has a downside I've just discovered.  I've been loving this song for the past 19 years and am always happy to hear it on RP.  But now the lyrics are right up front on the new website and it's going to be difficult to listen again without actually picturing what he's singing about.   I find that lyrics very often ruin a great song.
That was just horrendous.

I should have been more specific. I was referring to the backround "ooooo yeahs"...maybe it's a sample?

Jeez, he jumps straight into the doggy-style! What about the Clitoris!
then again...

I like the extra cheese (did I just type that?). Means this is a solid nine from me. . . which combined with your 6 makes it. . . errrr. . . . 69!

oh come on, they were extremely high on a variety of drugs when they did all that stuff...and it's partially fictionalized anyway. i can still dig the music.

(by the way, "When something good happens to you say 'Bob's Your Uncle'")

This sounds a bit like a less edgy Shriekback.

That's got to be Annie Lennox moaning there in the background.
I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. You know that new Depeche Mode album? It sucks.

You know what? That new Cure album? It sucks.

That new Happy Mondays album? I don't know if there is one, but if there is, it sucks.

I can say this 'cause I know. 'Cause I'm a Doors fan.

As someone who has lived in both the UK and Australia, IMHO the phrase is much more prevalent in the UK than Australia. And the first phrase I learned here was 'no worries'.

It's an Australianism, probably the first one you learn if you ever visit or live there. It's used when you have illuminated the solution to a problem. Sort of like, "Bingo." Its origin is not entirely clear, but believed to result from the nephew of a British PM named Bob, whose boarding school mates commented he had it easy because Bob was his uncle. Anyway, you literally hear (and use) this phrase daily when in Oz. "And Fanny's yer aunt!" is a less common response, seldom used in mixed company, unless alcohol is involved, which in Oz it often is.

Absolutely AMAZING album! From a great Alternative Era, but other H.M. work (albums) were a bit of a disappointment – I must say.

*ding dong* Heyyyy, did somebody order a pizza? hahaahaaa
Love this song. Years ago my wife and I were shopping for stereos, and went from store to store armed with the same carefully chosen cd's so that we could compare equipment with songs we liked and listened to alot, including this one. But we never actually paid any attention to the lyrics, and one day well into this process, with this tune cranked, it suddenly dawned on us that the strange looks we were getting sometimes from salesmen were probably attributable to a few of the lines that appear in this song. I'm sure most of them took us for "swingers".

Great stuff from the beginning of the 90s.... When 'rave' was just rave, not techno.

I was busy when this song came on, so it took a while to take notice of the lyrics. The gentelman does make doggie style sound enticing.
This song can now be called "classic".
flute saves this one

kinky.... a solid 2, though.
I like the name of the band. I like the name of the song. I like the name of the album... and I like the song! Nice little groove it has going.
Never noticed that the lead singer sounds a lot like David Jay.
I really think Bill Murray should cover this ala his lounge lizard SNL routine. It's just about the right level lyrics-wise.
oh my my, the lyrics, almost spilled my cup of tea O:)

Wrong and wrong again! That voice would be the voice of the lovely lady Rowetta, the only woman who could endure touring with the 'Mondays I guess. ;) See the movie "24 hour party people" for further insight, where Rowetta is starring as herself. One of the best movies about music ever! :D Quote from the film: Shaun - I hope yer don't mind us watching porn in the tour bus, love? Rowetta - Not at all, I think I might be in that film actually. Or something like that.
Ditto on "24 Hour Party People"!!!! My favorite scene from the Mondays part of the film was when Shaun & co. were feeding the pigeons alka seltzer on the rooftop.
