As you light your 27th cigarette
Oh how long have you been sittin in the darkness
You forget
Oh you know you're gettin really hard to be with
And you're cryin every time you turn around
And you wonder why you can not pick your head up
Off the ground
Oh my crazy baby
Try to hold on tight
Oh my crazy baby
Don't put out the light, the light,
the light, the light
And they look at you like they don't speak your language
And you're living at the bottom of a well
And you swallowed all the awful bloody secrets
That you can't tell
Oh you know you ought to get yourself together
But you can not bear to walk outside your door
No, you can not bear to look into the mirror
Anymore, anymore
Oh my crazy baby
Try to hold on tight
Oh my crazy baby
Don't put out the light, the light,
the light, the light
And your hands are really shakin something awful
As your worries crawl around inside your clothes
Ooh how long will you be sittin in the darkness
Heaven knows
Oh my crazy baby
Try to hold on tight
Oh my crazy baby
Don't put out the light, the light,
the light, the light, the light,
the light, the light, the light,
the light, the light
And we found our MAGAt voter....
You tone deaf moron keep your ignorance to yourself. What are you doing on Radio Paradise? The rest of us love this stuff that Bill plays and this whole Album is a first-class gem. I have seen her live 3 times and every time was fantastic, amazing talent. Just ask the Funk Brothers.
Your comment is insulting, mostly to yourself. Osborne is a versatile and talented artist. I saw her at Jazz Alley the day after Prince died. She filled her entire set with Prince songs, despite the fact that she had never performed or even learned them before. Just amazing.
Too bad about JO. Kind of a one-hit-wonder with this album.
hilarious comment.

RP is playing music from 10 of her albums.
That's what I thought until I heard Moby's "We Are All Made of Stars". I realized then that as bad as "Crazy Baby" is we were still in the shallow end of the pool.
But please stop the angst-ridden lovelorn crooning.
It would be great to hear Baez do a full blown (not just acoustic) version of this.
I agree. Great song until the outro.

This week finds me all over the place, musically, although I usually am, anyhow. I like and am willing to listen to just about anything, except maybe the specialized category of easy listening death metal prog electronica country. Gotta draw the line somewhere.

Wow Calypsus, you wrote this? It reads like english!

"She's singing it beautifuly, but yeah, there is some kind of strange effect on her voice"
"You're right. This one is baaad. Joan Osborne has a naturally beautiful voice. This sounds like they used a vocoder. "

So what you're saying is she drinks 24/7? 99.99% of her singing is off-key. Every song, every time.
Your singing career? How's it coming along? You sound just a wee bit jealous to me.

incredible CD
Love it. But it is more of a late night track, rather than a sunny morning toon.
Great contained playing and fitting vocals that suit the overall feel of the track. Maybe some here would prefer some software-enchanced over-emotive vibrato warbling (you know the Pariah Carey, Christine Aquilira way) with the neck veins standing up to show FULL performance. Me, i prefer the restraint.
Nice one Bill.

I think you should wash your ears out.
Wow. I pushed reply to agree with this comment before I realized that *I* posted it.
Nope. Its like listening to a singer who remains tunedeaf and elastic. Only artist to ride the lesbian wave to sub popularity, no talent , sorry.
Perhaps you're the tone deaf one mate
