I'm buying this CD, after hearing it on RadioParadise. I love it...

Thought this might be Libera, Till I looked. Was that Sir Sean Connery at the end?

Judging from what I can find, which is all rather vague, it seems it must be Michael Harbour, but he does sound a lot like Connery.

The cover picture reminds me of the 73 movie, Fantastic Planet  ,https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wik... I saw in a little programcinema as preact of crystal voyager by surflegend George Greenough, tunneling a big one, with music from Pink Floyd's Meddle. You can watch it on You Tube.
Fantastic

Deep Dish!

Haven't heard their name in like 12 years
Such a beautiful song, very glad to have discovered it on RP. Definitely going on my 2020 RP playlist of best of songs.
Works either way for me....I prefer the 'biological' Mommy   Shesdifferent wrote:

Sounded like it to me, too.  Surely not from a Bond role ... ?

Isn't it amazing to have such a recognizable voice?!
It must hit the area of memory exactly in the same way as Proustian Madeleine.
Cute song. Perfect for a quite morning, still recovering.
Thank you Bill
very very...good - thank you Mr Goldberg
Mr. T had a cover version of this... "Mother"

I respect and laud your exhortations. However, calle01, like Excelsior and Crockydile, is simply an internet troll, a shut-in who gets his  jollies from getting anyone who actually enjoys music to respond to his particular brand of vitriol. It's not about RP or even the music. It's about them. Ignore them, and they will eventually go away—regrettably probably to another website to wreak their brand of havoc.

As I noted the other night, calle01 no longer shows up in a search of RP members. So "eventually" quietly showed up.

I never did understand all the effort he put into rating songs a "1" and complaining about RP's playlists. It seemed like an awful lot of work to let people know how unhappy he was.

calle01, please stop posting derogatory messages on every song you dislike. Bill plays an excellent mix of music, and there is something for everyone. If you truly hate 2/3 of the music played here, this isn't the place for you. And there is no place on the song forums for a person who describes so many songs profanely, and calls a fellow listener with different musical tastes a "Reteard" (sic). This will be a better place if you leave. So go.

Disgusted! Might be a better name for this shit band. Why does every song Bill plays have some screeching woman crying in her soup???
Guessing?...  if you want to fall asleep or commit suicide.. Listen to 2/3 of RP's music. The other 1/3 is great!

Ah, the memories that this one conjures up!
This song always stirs up thoughts of my dear mother..her selflessness and how she places her children above everything..Words cannot express the thankfulness and adoration I feel for her

Original Release Date: August 7, 2001

That goes back to my first (intro) university year.
This might be what Thomas Tallis would be composing if (real) he were here today.

Song's pretty good in a dreamy way. Gets an extra point for the creepy kid-nightmare cover. Love it!
Nice!  love this
Rollo is Dido's brother.  Couple of very talented siblings.

Now there's an artist I haven't heard of in 25 years.  I loved his stuff... I wonder if I still have it on cassette!
I see Bill and Rebecca took a look at the rest of the CD after I submitted Childhood to the LRC back in the day and it got accepted. Nice :)
Sounded a bit William Orbit-ish. And that's OK.
song's decent, but i really like that album art!

I love this etherial stuff! Never heard of this band until played on RP.
Now, is the "Always Remember to Respect and Honour Your Mother" Michael Kane in Jaws 4 or am I crazy?
Te Vaka's "Te Namo" - 8 Tori Amos' "General Joy" - 3 Dusted's "Always..." - 8 Looks like a crap sandwich to me. Can we get better meat, Bill? This stuff's spoiled. rah wrote:

Sorry, rah. No expert here, but I do know Dusted is a collaboration between Bates and Rollo from Faithless. Also, I found this info: Dusted: Mark Bates (keyboards, programming); Rollo (programming). Additional personnel includes: Luke Garwood, Rachel Brown, Michael Harbour (vocals); Martin McCory (guitar); Dave Dulake (piano); Tim Vogt (bass); Mal Hyde-Smith (percussion); Matt Benbrook (programming); Alan Young (background vocals). Recorded at Swaynard Studios, London, England. Hope this helps. Excellent (and beautiful) song.
Extra point for the beautiful keyboard sounds.... :D
No way...Dusted on Radio Paradise!!! YES!
'Childhood' from the same album is one of THOSE songs - when it comes up on 'shuffle' on my iPod it is always a pleasant surprise. Thanks for the info on the album, RP ... :sunny.gif:

Apparently (she said to herself), it's not...
Cool.
Anyone else feel like they've been watching a Peter Greenaway film? Soothing and disturbing at the same time.
is that Michael Gambon's voice?
And, of course, don't forget to floss.
Might be ok if the lyrics were more interesting
Interesting sound, concept and name. A 7 out of the gate!
If I ever have insomnia, this would probably do the trick. But I mean that in a good way. Very soothing...
cue it up for Mother's day...
Wow, it caught my attention and I needed to find out who it was! :D
