They played Cheltenham Jazz festival this year ( a wide definition of jazz in these parts) . Excellent musicians which was obvious throughout, then toward the end they seemed to step up a gear.  Clearly really enjoying themselves, whole room up and dancing ( an afternoon slot as well)  Truly a great show.

Very jealous!  I've managed the Brecon jazz festival a  couple of times, but never managed Cheltenham.

Nice to see Cheltenham in the news!  I lived there most of my adult life until I moved in October last year ... I've been to the "jazz" festival many times (yes, it's a very loose definition of jazz).  I'd thoroughly recommned the free stage in Montpellier Gardens.

Went to see their concert in Paris. On a whim. It was worth it.
These guys are amazing, I'd love to hear some of their metallica covers on radio paradise too
Solid 7 on good speakers...solid 8 on great headphones.....turned WAY up :)

I Agree!!  Thanx RP!
This is awesome, but I can't help but hear Britney's Oops I Did it Again...   Listen, you'll hear it too.
RIP Dad, and Uncle Bud. Both loved RyG
I sent Dad a link and he forwarded it Unc Bud, who went and bought everything they had out.
Took a friend of mine to see them in Glasgow in 2019. He was not expecting to be very impressed, having not heard anything from them before apart from his 5 minute research before the gig.  He came away having absolutely loved it, claiming 'that was one of theee best gigs I've been to'! They have a great story and great talent.
when you listen to these two keep one thing in mind: Rodrigo is very good at what he does, but Gabriela Quintero is a goddess.
BREAKING BAD !!!!!
The more I hear this tune, the more I like it!!  Thanx RP!
SUPERB!!!   I never heard of them before.  Thanx RP!

7 years later - just saw them live and still amazing. Always a 10
They busked in Dublin for years and the hard work paid off

It's obviously you, not me thinking in such categories. Why should I not say that I dislike Spanish music?

What I really hate (!) is the consummate loss of what has once been called "freedom of speech".

Why you chose me from a not-so-small pool of those who obviously dislike them?

Because I am German...?

You have freedom of speech here,  Even when your speech is what some might consider subjectively bad.  I disagree with you. This is clearly a 10. But there are other genres that I do similarly do not care for.  Say what you like.   Others will say you are wrong.

Your post was not shadow banned was it?  Were you kicked from RP?  No.

What is the only American remedy to bad speech?  Better speech!

F-off Facebook/Twitter/all-fact-checkers/Google/MSM !!
Just amazing! 10!!!
When I think Mexicans, it's not "MS-13" or whatever; it's these two! Fantabulous! Love 'em!

No because you have no rhythm in any fibre of you being if this doesn't sound awesome. LOL. Just kidding. To each their own. Some actually like Wagner
Exceptional segue from ELO, go Bill!
Love the segue from Electric Light OrchestraFire On High to this!

and what "race" are Spanish people?  That would be very interesting to learn...Herr Joelbbles..

Love this and absolutely love the photo Lewis xx
Had the pleasure of photographing these two amazing musicians live in Denver, a mind blowing duo/show, you can see photos and video here: https://www.gonzoshots.com and here https://www.flickr.com/photos/gonzoshots/sets/72157629801580273/

Not this one, but some of their music does. I just watched it again last night with the kids.

If R&G were played in elevators I wouldn't get off at any floor, and I and the other lift occupants would be dancing like crazy. Say what you like about this pair, but their music sure has zip and energy and could no way be considered to be background muzak. I'd love to see this pair live, I really would. The musicianship and brio is just extraordinary. 9 from the Nottingham jury.

You might check with Romeotuma. Much experience w/ hotels, I hear, so perhaps the same w/ elevators? Bound to be one somewhere playing this.
The duo I'd like most to see in an intimate setting, although I probably blew any hope years ago, sadly. Love their output.
Saw the live a few years ago in NYC; amazing band, amazing song.  I'm so glad Bill likes RyG :)

It sounds to me a bit more 'con' than 'brio' to me, but if thy're your cup of rioja, they used to live in Ireland (may still do so) but they are on  an extended break due to injuries to Gabriela caused by her percussion on the guitar.

They would need to serve food in the elevator, too, or we would all collapse! You definitely need to see them live, they are unbelievable.

Unless Tamacun is Spanish for "Like a Prayer", I think Madonna has a lawsuit here.

Wow, I'm not hearing that at all - must really be buried in the tune.
Way too much of this bombastic, one-dimensional outfit here on RP.  There are dozens of great flamenco / Spanish guitar recordings out there if you really want to touch on that genre.   Of course few of them are young hipster couples, but we are about the music, right?

Dunno, I believe their genre has a very limited sound, and however good this song might be, it sounds like I've heard a lot of times before.
Elevator music.
Very talented (if I had their talent and they had a feather, we'd both be tickled), but just not my cuppa.

this applies to a lot of guitar music on RP imo.

I can't resist

Every time disappointed with Rodrigo Y Gabriela, sorry...{#Arghhh}{#No}{#Frustrated}{#Puke}

Unless Tamacun is Spanish for "Like a Prayer", I think Madonna has a lawsuit here.

I saw them in concert in Mpls in October in a small theatre. They are more impressive in person than I would have thought. They really enjoy playing in front of an audience and put on a great show.
{#Cry} why won't it stop?

So bored with this, the novelty has more then worn off
Well worth a YouTube gander-they are worth a look- very talented and energetic -

  I agree. Truly excellent jump from ELO (Fire on High). And to ELO from Coldplay (Viva la Vida).  But this one's the first one I really like out of the three (bumped it to a 9)

I absolutely looove this song! Glad they always seem to play it when I'm tuned in!

They are not siblings, nor ex lovers, just good friends who used to play in a heavy metal band together. If possible check out their DVD. Its great! Just like them!{#Notworthy}

One word....Bravo! {#Clap}  {#Guitarist}{#Guitarist}
one word.... WOW! Clap
I love Rodrigo and Gabriela! They are excellent performers, and I love their flamenco-styled arrangements..

Rodrigo is very creative, and Gabriela is just an amazing rhythm guitarist.. she drums out a rhythm and strums at the same time.. sounds great, too. 8 from me {#Bananajam} {#Bananajam}
Love this album !!!!
Venga Señores!
If any of you like this band .. you should see them live !! they would blow you away !
Just flippin' awesome!
My advice to all: beg, borrow, steal, but do whatever you can to see these two in concert. You will not regret it!
Sweet.  I guess this one made it over from the LRC.
