Not the greatest version of this song, and I usually prefer live performances. I like Nirvana, but to me Kurt was not the "voice of a generation" and I belong to the generation, he is supposedly the voice of...

Many of you posting here seem to think that Nirvana is some kind of passing phase, that they're in fact no good. Clearly you don't understand the nuance, irony and self examination and musical quality of Cobain's songs. He labored over his music and was a real genius whether you like the style or not. The guy was talented.

A view I can't get my head around and would not expect to hear from a Jane's fan and so assumed that if you just came across Ritual then you probably hadn't heard Nothing's Shocking and that you had perhaps come across the band in their most recent and in my view inferior incarnation. I don't think there is a bad song on Ritual or Nothing's Shocking. Totally agree that Good Gods Urge is the better Porno for pyros album though. It has a real interesting vibe.
Also as it is a Nirvana song comments page I should also add that I always loved Nirvana having been right around prime age for their appearance but I appreciate them more and more as time goes on.

Yeah, it's like a world all its own on side 2. I think the songs are too long for the playlist here. That is the only reason I can think of as to why Bill does not play it.

Wasn't a fan of any grunge rock band in the day. I'm still not a fan of those bands in general. Nirvana has been an unusual phenomenon in that i like it more now than in the day and i appreciate the talent and musicality.

Yep. I just got Jane's Addiction's Ritual de lo Habitual. I had heard it when it was current (esp the hits), but decided to finally buy a copy. Blown away. I have never been so blown away by an album. It has launched to the top of my list of faves.Great album, but I have never heard an album with such disparaging different sides. Side one....meh. Yes, if u listen to this without knowing its Nirvana - and so without any bias - this music has a so poor melody that could pass not noticed

I'm no big Nirvana fan, but it's obvious they can create some pretty catchy and memorable rock music - all fame/MTV/grunge fad/drama aside. Not too sure why you depise them that much. People who weren't alive during they're prime and who know nothing about them still love their music all these years later without being told to.

Hey, I uploaded this to the LRC awhile ago, and it got the "sorry" treatment after a nice run there. How wonderful that it is now in the playlist, it's a nice addition to RP! Great song.
I noticed that it was previously rejected after I submitted it. My guess is that sometimes it has to do with the timing of the submission and other times it may have to do with the note:
