Yes!
Sometimes I ask myself which of the songs we hear today will be acceptable in the year 3000 (80+some years from now) ...

Might want to check the maths on that. Anyhow, a ripping tune!
Duke ran the tightest band around.

Lol, not sure we'll even have music in the year 3000! But in 80 years or so, in the year 2100, Duke should still be legit!

The year 3000 is a little more than 80+ years from now. Try 980+ ;)
{#Bananasplit}Makes me want to dance like Gene Gene the Dancin' Machine!

The lack of taste is not to my taste.

Swing it, Sir Duke.

May I suggest ?: Diminuendo and Crescendo in Blue, from the Newport Jazz Festival, 1954.

Wow! Makes me want to go back in time.
Duke was such a genius.
I do love swing. and I love how the music here moves from one musical flavor to another.  {#Jump}
 Thank Bill and uploaders for a broad range of tastes

Well, first, my opinion is that this is a fair bit better than "acceptable".

Also, the year 3000 is over 980 years away. Perhaps this is more a bit of a math fail and you were thinking of 2100?

Whatever, we all hope there's a "Bill in a Bottle" still slinging out the tunes from Paradise then and there's a "Me in a Bottle" around to listen!

The King of All, Sir Duke!
From back when swing was something you only did on a playground or a dance floor, cool only applied to temperature, but THIS was always HOT!!!

Awesome!

Reminds me of my late father listening to this kind of stuff loud in the bathroom on a Sunday night in the 70's.

"Turn that row down dad I can't hear my Led Zeppelin" {#Lol}
{#Bananapiano}
This was fun!
I never thought I would highly rate a big band, but this scores.
Well, I love the Duke and this one was great for me!{#Clap}
Love the Duke - this wasn't that great for me though.  A 7.
Agreed.
