If you're listening to this song
You may think the chords are going wrong
But they're not
He just wrote it like that
When you're listening late at night
You may think the band are not quite right
But they are
They just play it like that
It doesn't really matter what chords I play
What words I say or time of day it is
As it's only a Northern song
It doesn't really matter what clothes I wear
Or how I fare or if my hair is brown
When it's only a Northern song
If you think the harmony
Is a little dark and out of key
You're correct
There's nobody there
And I told you there's no one there
You may think the chords are going wrong
But they're not
He just wrote it like that
When you're listening late at night
You may think the band are not quite right
But they are
They just play it like that
It doesn't really matter what chords I play

One of my favourite Fab 4 tunes. Brings memories of being young in the 60s in a house full of Beatles fans
This is a contractual obligation song. It is not ment to be good, but yet it is. It's a parody. 10 says me.
Relatively recent addition to the playlist for a Beatles tune.
Not my favorite either.
Not my favorite either.
this is absolute scrap!
The worst Beatles song is still better than 90% of the music I end up hearing during any given week.

I've always loved this song, and the accompanying animation in the movie is a materpiece of psychedelic art.

Clearly an attempt to harness and hybridize the sounds of the likes of Tomorrow Never Knows and I Am the Walrus and such, with a bit of existential Zen for good measure. One of the few inarguable Beatle duds. For archives and true fan interest only. Sorry, George. Sounds like the byproduct of some wicked 3 a.m. weed.
This truly is bad.

ok - its not exactly "while my guitar gently weeps" or "something" but - hey - has anyone ever listened to the filler on some of the other thousands of albums that came out in the '60's?
True
Really was hoping to hear the opening riff of Chest Fever by The Band.

I can't say I'd want to hear this one very often, but it was fun this time!

Hard to decide between this and "Revolution 9" off of "The White Album" but I'm going with "Revolution 9" because of the 8:22 running time.
Worst. Beatles. Song. Ever.
