I am surprised no one is discussing the sample. It's from 1942. Sounds like it has been tuned to a different key for this mix.

I quite like the contrast between the rather harsh vocal sound (like a cheap radio circa 1972) and the more lush harp, electric piano etc.
Thanks for this! I love hearing the source material for tracks that use samples, especially when it's blues/roots music.
