Well... I confess. First time I heard this was Terminator 2 as a kid. Last time here, right now on RP. And many many many times in between :)

He said, "Ah, let me go and ask my wife"
He come out of the house
I could see it in his face, I know that was "No"
He said, "Ah, I don't know, man, ah, she kinda funny, you know"
I said, "I know, everybody funny
Now you funny too"
One of the bestest lines ever. Just say it a few times to someone. Then you'll be bad to bone.

Wow.
You must have a "bone to pick".
Get it?
Ha! Ha! Ha!
This is probably the worst song ever recorded...

I think this is the first time I've heard this in high-fidelity. It slaps!
Growing up near Philly in the 70s, I was too young to see them play live, but they were in regular rotation on 93.3 WMMR and 94.1 WYSP. Great tunes.
Thanks for sharing with a wider audience, Bill!

I blew out a speaker to this in 1987, driving my dad's Chevy Blazer. I think I blew out my eardrum too. Saw him play at Redrocks in 1985. Great memories!

10... not only because of Terminator 2 ^^
It's so fun listening to lyrics as an adult

Can we also have “One scotch, one bourbon, one beer” ? Please?

This kicks ass
Back in 1979, I worked at The Delaware Cycle Center in Newark, De. near the University and the famous Deer Park Tavern. We would hit happy hour there regularly. Thorogood was from the area and would hang there and play live in the area regularly. He had 2 albums out that were taking off. One Saturday afternoon we walked in and George was there at the bar. One of my coworkers "knew" him and we walked up to him. Long story short, we had a few Rolling Rocks while standing there watching a TV with a Phillies game on. He is a huge baseball fan like I am and we reminisced about pro games we had attended growing up. He was a cool dude. Cheers!
over 20 albums!? puh, I have to listen to this material! sure there is more good stuff...
GREAT!! Thanx RP!

As always was and ever shall be: Killer jam for drinking beer and smoking weed to! Makes me want to put on and jam out to a fat stack of old Aerosmith records...
Just saw George Thorogood on my birthday this past August (2024) and he put on a damn good show at 74!
Can't believe this hasn't been played on RP before now. Heard this way too much during the 80's. The MTV video was awesome.
Is this really the first time this is on RP?
Fantabulous.
Fantabulous.
classic
This one’s for you, Dad. So grateful we got to see this live together.

I used to love this song.
I still do.
