My heart was leaping in the sun;
My friends all say that you're the one.
Let me get this one thing very clear:
There ain't enough going on down here.

Mainline Florida, oh say.
Mainline Florida, O.K.

Her arms were open, open wide;
Her invitation's a changing tide.
I could remember not long ago
We took a cruise down on Hotel Row.

Mainline Florida, oh say.

One of the best of anything he’s done…. Even if he’s a sad old conspiracy loving white dude now
sound mixed by Florida Man apparently

And which are those?  Not wanting people to die from a shot for a "virus" that you have a 99.97% chance of surviving from, if you even get it?  For wanting England to remain a White country?  Which is it?  He almost died after getting the Big Pharma shot.  When did you people start trusting giant corporations?

Decepción total. Dios resultó ser un ignorante. God turns to be truly an ignoarant.
this was Dad Rock for Dads who weren't even Dads yet
Saw the owner of that place interviewed years ago and apparently many individuals still stop by 461 Ocean Blvd looking for Eric Clapton.
Funny thing the owner didn't seem to mind, and actually I think he enjoyed it.

Mr. Clapton was vaccinated and lost feeling in his hands and elsewhere, which he has partially regained. There is more to it than that, but suffice to say, he has every right to be pissed off, Ms. O'Murphidiot!

Too bad he turned into a Covidiot!

Clapton is good and all, no knock on him, but Danny Gatton a couple songs back? EC wouldn't stand a chance cuttin' heads with him.

But EC is still alive, and DG isn't, so there's that.

Different styles. Both know their stuff.

Repetitive tosh😣
I really find Eric Clapton to be quite a bore. The one time I saw him perform live his backup guitarist performed at least half of the guitar solos. Eric, if you're as bored of playing the same blues solos as I am of hearing them, why not call it a day and let more original and imaginative musicians have a greater share of the spotlight?
One of the first 8-track tapes I ever bought!  https://images.app.goo.gl/L4Mq...
Got my pink fuzzy slides tappin'.
Okay, so this is where Foriegner got that famous riff from - you know "..it feels like the first time..."
Too repetitive. Driving me nuts!

Just did.  And the vinyl is better to a point.  The rest of the album is mixed really well and the vocals are much more up front.  I've tried to remaster this song a number of times to get the lead vocal more up front, but his vocal for this is the same frequencies of the guitars.  Just can't do it.  It needs to be remixed.  Another song I've found with the same problem is Fleetwood Mac's Future Games.  Bob Welch's lead vocal is doing the same thing.  Just can't dig it out because its right in with the guitars again.

I agree .. it's like the engineer tried out a mix that showed off the great guitar sound, but the proper mix (vocals a tough higher) never made it to mastering. The master engineer might have asked, "Are you sure you want the guitars this high in the mix?", or they might have just thought, "Eh, it's Clapton, I'm not gonna mess with it."

I agree.  Is it my imagination, or was he holed up in Miami Beach to get sober?

I saw Clapton touring this album in (I think) 1975, 4th row floor. The opening act was Freddie King. I don't think I've ever hear a louder guitarist than Freddie, who brought the house down.  Clapton was his usual god-like self. The encore was Eric & Freddie rockin' the blues for 45 minutes. Unforgettable.

Was there too. Seattle Paramount theater.
One of Eric's (solo) best.
I work with some pretty young guys, and yesterday one of them didn't know who Eric Clapton was.  I literally had to explain to someone what a big deal Eric Clapton is.

Still Great sounding after all these years

What vinyl - that wore out long ago as did most of the greats I had/have.
Florida.......November 2018, we can see that Gerry Mander and Chad Hang are ever present and ubiquitous, always robbing us of the imagined democracy told to us in school.

In Spanish?  Man, that expression sounds worse than it already does in English...
Love anything by slow hand
I listened to this album a million times back in the early nineties when I was living in the Palm Beach area. This was during the William Kennedy Smith days at Au Bar! We all wondered if Uncle Ted was going to kill another one. Brings back a lot of memories.
Just thinking the same thing!
Bill, you are killing it this morning!!  Thank you!   {#Bananasplit}
Florida can be so cold I imagine. Oh well.

Much more song than there are lyrics.
One of the first few 8-tracks that I acquired when I was 14. Haven't heard this in a long time.

Terrible. Why is Eric's voice so far back in this muddled mix? EC+heroin=pathetic mush.

The music track sounds pretty good but yes, it sounds like he's singing while lying on a couch.  I guess it's just poorly mixed.

I've great respect for Clapton as a guitarist and songwriter, but I've always felt that his rock songs were pretty weak and that he doesn't really have the voice for them. His blues stuff, though, is IMO los cojones del perro

Oh yeah ... Maple Leaf Gardens, October 1974. OK, this tune wasn't in the setlist (it seems!), but evokes very fond memories of the event all the same. Wonderful.

Waiting for something to happen...............let's just check this.
Obviously a server error.
Clapton is going to play Jazzfest in NOLA come on down everyone. Will be a grand time.
I could definitely see the Doors Moonlight Drive coming on next ...

eh ?  noodge ...  noodge ...
Number 9...
So beautifully bland this song is. EC is so capable of better. Bonafide filler!
Continuing our adventure in Fla!!    {#Motor}

I almost had forgotten about this tune. Brings back good memories!  {#Good-vibes}
oh come on folks! This song cain't get no betta. Guess you had to be there. To know What If It Didn't Exist. Anyway. Another reason RP ROCKS!!!!!! Brilliant stream of all eras/genres woven together and the spark of the occasional GEM like this, preserved, polished, dusted off and sparkling in your ear.

Big <3

Couldn't talk about the whole album but every time I hear this song I crank it up. Love the slide guitar and wah-wah vocoder effects or whatever the hell is going on...and the chorus.

I never could listen to "Tears in Heaven" all the way through—insipid, although I'm sure the grief that inspired was overwhelming.

Yes indeed.  Sums up my feelings about this song rather well.
MY FAVORITE Clapton song... and hes made a TON of great tunes....

"Come on Eric, we need to do a photoshoot for the cover."
Eric: "Ok, I'll got stand in the back of the house by the palm tree, hows that?"
One of my ALL TIME favorites by ANY musician.

Worst? B, as in B. S, as in S.
