I believe this one is about the kind of selfish obsession that budding stalkers (and drunks, et al) confuse with love - obnoxious repetition and delivery are brilliantly applied here. I especially love his idea that if our super-sufferer is whacked up the side of the head repeatedly he might wake up for a second... really funny.
This song made me stop reading an engrossing book in order to say to n4ku, WTF?
Bloody awful.
Not sure I've seen a song here on RP that is as universally hated as this one apparently is. Funny thing: I was ok until he stopped to chat about random musicians.
Apparently I'm one of the few RP listeners who like this song. I had no idea.
This song sucks Fifty Eggs.
Anyone know where I can get a good deal on ear bleach?
Ouch! Just awful. I love 90% of the songs here, and I can tolerate most of the rest. But this is just awful.
Only a 2 because I dig the actual music, and the chorus is kinda ok. Otherwise, it barely made "2" status.
Why am I hearing this again?
Keep playing it! It has an emotional appeal that is only found in people who truly enjoy what they are doing (see Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, or the Followill Brothers of the Kings of Leon). Thanks for playing.
Bill, Rebecca, I really don't like this song. No offense. You play really good music, but this tune. So repetitive. Someone must like it to keep it in rotation. Can I get my gun and *make* him dance? ...and then shoot him? Maybe the worst song ever would be to have him cover Solsbury Hill?
why do they keep playing this song?? i don't get it... don't they see it sucks big time?

RP just did the same thing, Nelly Furtado (DJ Earworm) was the previous song, then this. Does RP purposely repeat play sequences?
Yep, I guess one crappy turn deserves another... and another, and another.

could be the lowest rated "song" i've seen and it deserves it.

Ugh.
Oh dance on your own !
Mommmmmmmy!!!! Make it stop!
for the first time while listening to rp, i have to hit the mute button on this one.
Stop whining for the love of God!! This is awful!
Wow, a crappy Nelly Furtado remix followed by this? Is it "bargain bin" music day on RP?

Hummmm, I kinda liked it. Never knew it was Ani DiFranco who said any tool is a weapon if you hold it right thought it was my own been using it for a signature line for some years now on another site.
Gee, I thought my sensei came up with that one...
I think this song is ok, but some of his other stuff is great. Very entertaining and funny.
bill... come on.

Not entirely sure, but, I think he's saying he wants to dance with her...
this is supposed to be funny - right?
This guy is so annoying!!!
I believe we need some Joanna Newsom as a musical palate cleanser.
Exceptionally bad.
Edited to add:
Wow. It gets even worse.
Annoying!
Don't know what all the fuss is about. I kinda like it.
Good lord, I don't post a 1 very often but that was just painful!
I loved it!
This really sucked.

You said what I was thinking!
it almost made me want to hurt myself
How many again?
I ran across the room to hit the mute
Well, that sucked. And I've laughed at some of his stuff before.
I'd rather you go back to Nelly Furtado than this whiny song...thanks
:it hurts:

This is terrible!
Exactly what I was going to say.
Yuck.
This is terrible!
This is just terrible. So bad it doesn't really deserve constructive criticism or a second listen... just make it stop.
What!?!
No more carrot stew?
That's just unacceptable.
I just listened to his CD New American Language. I listen at this time every year for his song The Thanksgiving Day Parade.
seems like bob geldof.
Dropping Woody Guthrie and Ani DiFranco's names into this excruciating song is pathetic...
Been waiting for some Dan Bern....have a few of his albums...
I made an earlier post to a Dylan song comparing it to Bern just to see if anyone was paying attention.
