Lover lover why do you push
Why do you push, why do you push
Baby baby, did you forget about me
I've been standing at the back of your life
Back row centre just above the ice
Please don't ask me how I've been getting off
No please don't ask me how I've been getting off
Break my body, with the back of your hand
Doesn't make sense from where I stand
Baby, baby why you wanna mess it up
Sooner or later I'll find my place
Find my body better fix my face
Please don't ask me
How I've been getting off
No please don't ask me
How I've been getting off
It's a fine line between pleasure and pain
You've done it once you can do it again
Whatever you done don't' try to explain
It's a fine, fine line between pleasure and pain
It's all the same
It's all the same
It's all the same
Why do you push, why do you push
Baby baby, did you forget about me
I've been standing at the back of your life
Back row centre just above the ice
Please don't ask me how I've been getting off

Goodbye Chrissie - the real deal.
I was 25 that year and couldn't listen to most of the new music. Don't recall hearing this. And I'm thankful for that.
This one sounds like somewhere between Patty Smith and Pat Benatar.
!985 !
I find Manfred Manns version a lot more attractive to listen to. Can't say why but it sounds more serious.
I can find wicked exaltation in the timely instrumental style and Chrissy's distinctive beautiful voice
sad joy, cool tune

Yes does sound more like Gabriele!

Yes, the Divinyls were definitely a big part of the whole '80s Experience. Distinctive voice; a bit like Marianne F and Cyndi L, but better!

Sad, just checked Wikipedia to check up on this band. Found out the sad ending to Chrissy:
"Aged 53 years, Amphlett died on 21 April 2013 at her home in New York City, USA, after a protracted battle with breast cancer. Amphlett had been unable to receive radiation or chemotherapy treatment for the cancer because she concurrently suffered from multiple sclerosis."

Haven't heard this in a long time... another classic nice to hear once in a while.
sad how she died, such a cool voice, especially "I Touch Myself"
A must have album-their first. R.I.P. Chrissy. You were a badass.

Didn't know this band, half-listening while working I first thought this was Patti Smith in a weird mood!

I don't remember much of the eighties, but I think this song was there?

Thanks Bill,
Chrissy's passing calls for the playing of a few Divinyls songs.
Such a shame.

Wheres the "Annoys" button?
I had the opportunity to see this band twice in Denver, once at the Rainbow Music Hall. Outstanding band in concert! I got to meet the band the second time I saw them and partied with them at the hotel.
Love this tune.
Absolutely could STAND that horrible hit they had back in the day... This on the other hand is surprisingly good
RIP to an Aussie rock legend and inspiration for women everywhere.

Rest in Peace, Chrissy.
So sad, I really like this band and liked Chrissy.
Spooky - just read that the lead singer died. I assume this play is intentional. Nice tribute B&R
I remember this one...liked it then & still do.
Thanks for playing this, Bill. May she rest in peace.
Great song.. love it !
