She spent the summer in Chicago
Spent the winter in L.A.
She can run faster than a river
Sometimes I still hear her say:
You can always be gone, but you can't always make the ride go on and on
You can always drive fast, but you can't always make the long drive last
She fell in love in Colorado
Drove out West to see the bay
I feel sorry for him tommorrow
But he's a lucky man today
She will always be gone, but she won't always make the ride go on and on
She will always drive fast, but she won't always make the long drive last
One day she showed up at my house
She said, "Wanna get away?
Wanna go to Indiana?
Lot of music there, they say"
I've never been back since
I bought a car and I call it home
I still miss the diner on Main Street
Miss walking down the old post road
You can always be gone, but you can't always make the ride go on and on
You can always drive fast, but you can't always make the long drive last

Catchy enough, like some of her other cuts played here, but I just can't get fully on-board with this artist. Her voice is sort of expressive but, somehow, both flat and affected. And the musicianship isn't stellar enough to make up for it.

Your kids, huh? You are a bad, bad man. What song were we talking about?

No, Curtis just produces it. Her evil twin, Katie Couric hosts.
A couple of years ago my kids rented an Olsen Twins movie called "Our Lips Are Sealed" when a Catie song came on, "holy crap, I said. I thought, is that making it, having your song in an Olsen twins movie?" I guess as long as the licensing money was green it was good for Catie

Catie Curtis is a gift from heaven. God bless her!
Heard her here on RP & bought the CD. I didn\'t regret it. Her songs touch my heart.
I like it, but it sounds like she is just doing karaoke over the Dire Straits song that gets a lot of airplay here...
