Strong Lyrics
I'd like to hear what Delgres would do with this. I think they'd add some meat to it.
Agreeing with the consensus on this track.
It's not my typical style of music in the first place but if his voice wasn't so weak and lacklustre it might get a better rating from folks.
It was only enjoyable in a 15 to 30-second TV ad sort of way.
Started at 4... fell to a 3 by the end.

Nice catch, Cosmo!
Nope. Dead, please.

And Lordy, he wakes up with Sam Phillips every morning.... life must be pretty good over at T-Bone's house.
If I had my way, my name would be T-Bone.
I'm more partial to the Washington Squares version........
Good, I got it up to 5. This is a pretty fun song. It deserves at least that much! Of course I'm always a sucker for a Bo Diddley beat.
I like it, but it sure makes me long to hear the Dead's Samson and Delilah. Don't make me wait!
This may be one of those songs where the metaphor overshadows the actual lyrics...a good example of a \"4\" rating IMHO.
This is good, but I have only heard the Dead\'s version (about 150 times I bet) and I prefer that version.
It\'s OK. I like the Washington Square\'s version better. More emotion, more feeling.
Sorry, T Bone, but Peter Paul and Mary did this one better, with more spiritual feeling that I am hearing in this rendition. That\'s no great insult, by the way. That trio, whatever you may think about the folk scene of the 60\'s, sung old spirituals with real fervor.
