There's an old lady living in an old house
Since her husband died she hasn't been out
She lives in her own world with her own little nightmares
And she stopped counting the days
She buys a radio station with her husbands legacy
She does her own show ten hours a day
Plays poems and listens let's feelings run free
Helps people talk the pain away
So if your world falls down
Can't see the light of day
Call the lady call the station today
And listen
This is radio orchid listen and cry
To all the others that suffer and die
This is radio orchid listen and cry
Take your lonely heart and let it fly
Sending her message she's solving the problems
Of millions and millions but who solves hers?
The old lady gets older still lives in the old house
But when she dies we'll all live alone
Since her husband died she hasn't been out
She lives in her own world with her own little nightmares
And she stopped counting the days
She buys a radio station with her husbands legacy
She does her own show ten hours a day
Plays poems and listens let's feelings run free

BORING.
This is good, very good. Never heard these guys before.

Nice to here that the Furies have fans in Boston!
I also met the guitar player once after a concert in Germany. Can't remember anything!
Since I live in Hannover, hometown of the Furys, those meetings with the Kai Wingenfelder are more then often. And he's not the one to spit into a fresh beer.^^
Smart guys with their feet on the ground, I may tell you.
And yes: Nice to hear this on RP.
Thx to Bill and Rebecca.

not even close ... this sounds like that american idol chris daughtry dude ... horrible what music has become.
this song is a remix of their (FITSH) song that came out 10 years ago.
i LOVE this band! I was a HUGE fan of theirs when they hit it 'big' with the song "Every Generation's Got It's Own Disease". VERY nice guys. Hung out and went to dinner with them at a Korean restaurant next to where they played in Boston. Meat Loaf's daughter, Pearl, was there too. Wow.. this song takes me back to college. Thanks RP!

Hey lads, this is how a german revolution sounds like!

"Fury In The Slaughterhouse" - sounds like the name of a parody German rock band.
Hey lads, this is how a german revolution sounds like!
by the way, this band existed LONG BEFORE the Foo Fighters!
mom said, if you can't say anything nice...

I was more thinking of Rush meets REO Speedwagon.
Nice groove and chorus.

nice!
This is radio awkward
edit: awkward is an awkward word ... awkward.
Long live David Hasselfhoff! Wait, this isn't The Hoff? It should be! "Take your lonely heart and let it fly" indeed! Supercheese! Even Kitt would turn off his own radio if this came on.
Turn it off and send them back to germany from where they came. yuck yuck yuck

You all do realize Bill has been using a sample of a riff from this song for his bumps for a very long time now, right?
bump? what bump?...
but, seriously... huh?
The 'Mono' album that this song originally came off of is probably one of the best albums going track for track. If you like this one you should check it out.

Hey! My sending was accepted :)
Now I just have to wait until it is played. I'm very interested how this song will be accepted.
It is one of my favorites and if you like it I will probably send in even more Fury songs.
So enjoy this new stuff and let me know your opinion.
;)
Masterchief
Masterchief, you haven't done anybody a favor by taking the lid off. This mediocre Hannover, Germany band doesn't need any more hype than they've already been showered with. They're my hometown "heroes", but that doesn't make them a good band. No more, please.

Please no, I've heard this too many times on german radio. So I stop listening to "brick-and-mortar" radio, and what happens ?
P.S.: I don't mind german bands singing in english, but please don't do it when you have a horrible accent... (Some of their other songs are much worse in that department.)
No worse than american bands singing in 'english'
5 years on the playlist, only my second listen, must be one of Bill's old time favs it rocks too!
Blah. What can you say about this other than...blah.

this is bad. really bad.

One big difference: Fury existed long before the FooFighters. Both bands are good, but every band in its own way. And for the other guy that wrote "sounds like another American band": the Furys are from Germany, got it ;-)
Senselessly selling the drama of a poor crying, lonely orchid...
Live In The Slaughterhouse:
Wannabe Foo Fighters?
pretty sucky.
Once, there was a boy, who...Mmm mmm mmm meh
album title makes me want to hear Super Furry Animals.
still sounds "odd" in the RP mix. Like Chris DeBurgh (shudder) trying to incorporate Peter Gabriel "elements". Blechhh.

Good one. I'm hearing more reeks more of a Collective Soul cover band, with a little Peter Gabriel percussion mixed in for good measure.
I did like, and wouldn't mind hearing again, "Every Generation Got Its Own Disease" from '93/'94 area.

that is a really good one, MT. it's off their '93 album "mono". 91X in san diego used to play it back then. i'll send it in for bill to review and maybe he'll add it to the playlist.Sounds like a million boring American bands, gives rock a bad name!
As a German listener I found it pretty cool to hear german bands on RP. One of the best songs of them, glad to hear it from time to time.
Masterful. Really enjoy this tune.
Nice sad song, hope it never catches me on the wrong foot, then I might just start sobbing a little
Neat song, but Fury has done even better than that. Try \"Missing Me\" or \"Won\'t forget these days\", to name only two. Actually I forgot the names of the other good older songs, but the person who uploaded this one probably knows...?

Upon initial listen I must say I like it.
Not bad...not great, but not bad.
Now somebody please upload some Element of Crime, HBlockx or Guano Apes!
We'll show you Krautrock!
