right? still awesome.
A unique voice of suffering
But why the negative sounding album title? Or is that meant to reflect her paining?
'I want what I have got' sounds so much better
Sinead O'Connor, Irish musician and abuse-victim, was so incensed by Benedict's fake empathy, she wrote a fiery article for the Washington Post where she said:

If they were cold they probably wouldn't shave their heads.
Sinead O'Connor, Irish musician and abuse-victim, was so incensed by Benedict's fake empathy, she wrote a fiery article for the Washington Post where she said:
"Irish Catholics are in a dysfunctional relationship with an abusive organization. The pope must take responsibility for the actions of his subordinates. If Catholic priests are abusing children, it is Rome, not Dublin, that must answer for it with a full confession and a criminal investigation. Until it does, all good Catholics... should avoid Mass. In Ireland, it is time we separated our God from our religion, and our faith from its alleged leaders."
If they were cold they probably wouldn't shave their heads.
Agreed! What a fantastic song.I thought I heard it at the beginning! At first, I thought it was because I was walking too close to the turntable!
Always a good memory with this one —-
This song is good for the ears...
Nee!
The Pope isn't just a religious figure but a political one. He's fair game.
Without getting deep into the arguments or saying whether they were completely justified or not, JP2 was criticized for things like:
— justifying and contributing to the oppression of women
— providing protection to priests who sexually abuse children
— trying to shut down the Jesuits' efforts to help the 3rd World through education because it was unpopular with 3rd world gov'ts.
— pressuring anyone within his influence not to discuss population, arguably the #1 problem in the World, as an issue
And that's just the short list.
This page is about the music so I don't want to go too far off on a political tangent. BUT, if Sinead wants to criticize the Pope, there's some reason to do so.
Yeah, what he ↑ said.

Right on, well said
And now the new one said that condoms increase aids?? These guys are not just religious clowns in their ridiculous costumes, they also spread dangerous lies!Hey, you can disagree with her politics or her personality. Hell, I think she's as crazy as a run-over dog.
But this woman has the voice of an angel, with the vocal range to boot.
One of the world's worst? Sorry bub. That must be your ass talking, because your head knows better.

Huh??
Ah.......the memories
I second what aquadonia says...I highly respect what she stood up for.
This Lady-Singer congregates all the predicates and parchments that a singer can have, including your strong personality. For everything and because i like of hearing and appreciate your work, Tankyou ms. Sinéad Marie Bernadette O' Connor. God Bless You! - ** 9 **
This song if definitely not her best, but I'll take it. Her voice is wonderful.

As a woman, I love the lyrics.
But, day-um, In-the-pocket percussion shouldn't be missed.
