It's always a sad day when RP plays a track I love and it turns out spotify doesn't have it :(

It's songs like this that make me so happy to have a synthesizer at my desk for an impromptu jam.

Wow! Heard this before and liked it, but I'm listening with headphones and now I love it. I really enjoy the spiral-like construction of it. The same tune repeating with increasingly richer and better increments. Makes me want to soar. Thanks for playing
When this song started, I thought it was "so and so", but it grew on me by the minute. What a great finale!

A great guitarist, would not have known of him without Radio Paradise. Thank you Bill and Rebecca!

I love the chord progression ...
One of my favorite previously unheard tracks here on RP. That is an amazing and joyful sound and talent.
Sadly, Mr. Delorme passed a few years ago in Calgary. His Blue Wave Sessions album is a masterpiece to me.
An unsung hero of Canadian music world obscurity. Excellent musician, thanks for the memory RP.
Thank you Bill.
Nice! Another one I'm writing down to add to the playlist. Love RP!
Would love to know more about this performer.
Anyone know if this song can be bought and downloaded yet?
Nice stuff! Love the energy. Perfect for that Friday afternoon drag.
He was a great guy.
NICE

David Lindleyesque. Love it.
Such a great song to make any day better. Wish I could find out where I can purchase a copy...

Just one more reason I listen and donate to RP! Always finding something to like and buy, download, or go see! TY Bill & Rebecca!
Happy music. Splendid.
NICE. Love the chiming strings and slide. A very positive and exuberant track.
Never heard of him but wish I had done. I can hear touches of Mark Knofler - love the lush slide playing too. Sorry he is not around to get our good comments.
So good he must be Canadian.

Wow - Never even heard of this guy. Not a heck of a lot on him as far as YouTube videos, and what there is sounds rather different than this.
Anyway, I like this.

This is such an awesome song! It's also extremely rare to find this particular CD on sale anywhere!!!
Bummer!
Gaye James Delorme (March 20, 1947 – June 24, 2011) was a Canadian songwriter, composer and guitar player.
Great find Bill! Thanks one more time for introducing me to great music.

Woah is right.
Lindley meets Landroth meets Duane.
Amazing.

May have to play this another four or five times.
What the hell? Why have I never heard of this guy?
Thunder Bay for cryin' out loud.

Never heard of him before... damn good sounds!
you can tell he absolutely loves what he's doing, and that's contagious
Thanks so much for the MySpace link!
The song isn't anywhere that you can buy, nor is the album available. BUT you can find it on myspace. He has a page there with this and three other tunes ("Borderline", "Bahia" and "Sailor Sailor")
Hits the spot right now.
More of this, Bill, if you please.
First time I've heard this - may I say - WOW - more of this please - instant 8
Nowhere to buy CD ?
NICE GUITAR RIFFS—THANKS!
Man oh man! I saw this dude in a bar in 1983. A guitar phenom whom I have completely forgotten until now.

This is technically very good. He's clearly a talented musician. That being said, this is background noise to me. There's nothing here that really gets my attention.
How have I never heard this before? Excellent.
Weird, you can't get this on iTunes...
Oh, wow...very cool!
Jimi said you'll never hear surf music again- I see someone disagrees. (NB: Does not apply to FZ's "Lumpy Gravy," which you should play every day, while you pray...)
...hey, this is cool!..
Yup, you're right. The initial information in front of me last night was incorrect. He WAS in Calgary and WAS scheduled to play at the Edmonton thing in August. Thanks for the correction. As for the snotty tone of your message, I'll leave that alone and go listen to some of Gaye's work instead.
Gaye Delorme passed away today at age 64. He collapsed on stage from a heart attack while doing a sound check at the Edmonton Folk Music Festival in Alberta. "Angelina" is just one of many songs that showcase his amazing guitar playing. His CDs "Borderline" and "Blue Wave Sessions" have been among my most played in years. A bit of trivia: Gaye wrote and played guitar on "Earache My Eye" from Cheech & Chong fame.
Thanks a lot for introducing this guy!
Why have I never heard of this guy before Radio Paradise?
This is one excellent piece of music! I hear Knopfler-esque flourishes, but also some clear, clean Craig Chaquico new-age progressions. It's wonderful. 8, but I'll probably change that to 9 before the song is over.... Love it!!!
Wow, liking this groove. Another RP first timer.
heavenly guitar picking intro.
