pavement, the rock band, is a band that can make lowest of lo-fi sound better than anything with a higher fidelity...they make something that to many ears sounds like noise, sound like actual music...and music with content...and that content doesnt come in the form of vocals, lyrics or anything...it simply IS...it is art it is to an extent, and the artists probably didnt even do it consciously, to an extent a cry out for help from those with pure natural ability to sing and play...to take back our music "industry" from the shit that feeds the masses...fuck britney spears, for making girls think that they have to be models to have a MUSIC career fuck mtv for doing the same , fuck corporate labels for infringement on an artists' natural art....give us our music back

I am writing largely out of sympathy for the harsh rating, but really it's a good song; the tunes good and I actually like the vocals. Anyway, If music quality was based solely on vocals certainly nobody would have heard of Dylan and Bright Eyes wouldn't be on the scene. I've never heard of this band, but their probably aware that their vocals aren't the best, but oh well, maybe they've got something to say. Much better, I say, than these artists who have nothing to say, but since some label talent scout told them they're pretty and sing well they've decided to clog the airwaves with their lab manufactured bubble gum rock.
My cat holds pitch better than this guy.

But I think that there'd be more Pavement's songs in the playlist.
The whole Crooked Rain is a hot-shot. And WoweeZowee, maybe not very suitable for a radio station, but it's sort of a masterful tour-de-force.

Pavement is definitely an acquired taste, but once you acquire it you'll never look back. This isn't one of their best tunes, but it's not bad if you know how to listen to it (follow the song structure and the rhythm of the lyrics more than the singer's tone).

This is the first record I ever bought from Sonic Sounds in Lincoln, UK, after hearing it on Mark Radcliffe\'s radio show on Radio 1... cool. :)

If the singer is not actually singing out of tune, he\'s doing a remarkable impression of it. What a miserable song.

You'd be surprised how out of tune their instruments can sometimes be... but that's part of the charm. 10 - Godlike for every and anything Pavement has ever done. Greatest band of the 90's by far.
