love is trembling - trembling like the little bird we hold within our hands
love is bending - bending towards the worried brow - here, let me wipe away your tears
love is kneeling - above the broken body the ever-upturned face
love is missing all the words are broken, help me i cannot find my way, no, i can't
i need you love, come on love

will you sail 'cross the water and lay your wisdom down?
and love will you sail 'cross the water and tell us what you found?
and love will you sail 'cross the water and hold us when we drown?
and love will you sail 'cross the water?
is anybody listening...?

love is trembling - trembling like the leaves above the baby's bed
love is streaming - streaming with the tears that we cannot seem to shed
love is frozen - frozen in the figure they just pulled from the subway grate
love is a burning - burning with the anger that we all feel, against which we kneel,
our faces pressed into the lap of loneliness, come on love

will you sail 'cross the water and lay your wisdom down?
and love will you sail 'cross the water and tell us what you found?
and love will you sail 'cross the water and hold us when we drown?
and love will you sail 'cross the water?

are we not willing? are we not trying? are we not trusting? are we not crying?
are we not children? are we not stumbling? are we not wondering? are we not?

oh, sail 'cross the water and lay your wisdom down?
and love will you sail 'cross the water and tell us what you found?
and love will you sail 'cross the water and hold us when we drown?
and love will you sail 'cross the water?

are we not willing? are we not bending? are we not frozen? are we not trembling?
are we not children? are we not trying? are we not wondering? are we not?

Oh
Oh
love is trembling...
love is trembling...
love is trembling...
love is trembling...

I thought this was Jane.....I forget about her, but every time I hear her it brightens my day.
Ugh. Bad lyrics, worse vocals.
Are we not men? We are Devo! No, wait, I meant to say Are we not looking for the mute button?
not really enjoying this set... can we please not have this kind of music until i no longer have to keep myself awake?
Are we not pretty good?
are we not finished?!!! zzzzzzzzzzzzz
ARE WE NOT DONE YET?!
Wow, I\'m in good company - talking about Peter and Jane - like we know them. I don\'t know if they would make a good couple, but I\'d love to hear them sing together.
Great song. Jane and Peter. That would be an amazing pairing. Both this song and the last Peter G song bring back early college memmories...ahhhhh./

I'll echo that. She's great... and very small, I'm not a big person but I nearly knocked her over when she bumped into me trying to squeeze her way back to the stage at the Mean Fiddler.
I love Jane Siberry! I\'m so glad to see her on here.
peter gabriel and Jane should date, they move in pathos company
Truly most excellent, hadn\'t heard this lovely cut before. And Bill, truly exquisite theme/segue touch here, following Peter Gabriel\'s \"Washing of the Water\"
Excellent!
Brian Eno produced this - some of his best work, I think. By the way, her live shows are wonderful.
I've got Jane Siberry on a tape somewhere that I haven't pulled out in years. Just hearing her voice brought back plenty of memories from college daze. I'll have to dig that tape up sometime and enjoy it again. Keep it up RP! :p But I agree with other listeners... Her older stuff is better. Try her first album out!
Bill plays some of the best Canadian artists, Bruce Cockburn, Tragically Hip, Joni Mitchell, BNL and now Jane Siberry. Makes me proud to be Canajian.
Very Happy to hear Jane Siberry on RP. I think she kicks Sarah Mclachlan\'s butt all the way to China.

That is quite a combination. Thanks. I will have to check out those early releases.
Are we not ... done with the chorus yet?
I have know of Jane Siberry but really haven\'t \"listened\" to her music. Well I heard her here at RP today and I thank you Bill and Rebecca. Very nice.
Jane Siberry is a sweet genius. This album is soulful and inspired. Thank you for playing her! More please! :)
Try to find her Canadian release:\"No Borders Here\" Every song Excellente.
