She doesn't own a dress
Her hair is always a mess
If you catch her stealin' she won't confess
She's beautiful

She smokes a pack a day
Oh, wait, that's me, but anyway
She doesn't care a thing about that, hey
She thinks I'm beautiful
Meet Virginia

She never compromises
Loves babies and surprises
Wears high heels when she exercises
Ain't that beautiful?
Meet Virginia

Well she wants to be the Queen
Then she thinks about her scene
Pulls her hair back as she screams
I don't really wanna be the queen

Her daddy wrestles alligators
Mama works on carburetors
Her brother is a fine mediator
For the President

Well here she is again on the phone
Just like me, hates to be alone
We just like to sit at home
And rip on the President
Meet Virginia

Well she wants to live her life
Then she thinks about her lies
Pulls her hair back as she screams
I don't really wanna live this life

She only drinks coffee at midnight
When the moment is not right
Her timing is quite, unusual
You see her confidence is tragic
But her intuition magic
And the shape of her body - unusual

Meet Virginia- I can't wait to
Meet Virginia- Yea-ey eh ehh ehh ehh

Well she wants to be the Queen
Then she thinks about her scene
Well she wants to live her life
Then she thinks about her lies
Pulls her hair back as she screams
I don't really wanna be the Queen
I don't really wanna be the Queen
I don't really wanna be the Queen
I don't really wanna live this

To gain a little respect for their talent, check out the episode of Daryl's House they were on. Very cool and spontaneous performance.

Disagree. You can at least understand Pat Monahan. Adam Duritz has the Eddie-Vedder-Marbles-In-The-Mouth Syndrome.

Well Train came first...so maybe Jason sounds like Train.

I like Drops of Jupiter better, though most of the pop hits from the the late 90s (yikes!!) were off my radar as I was into mostly Jazz at the time (not sure why I always capitalize the J in Jazz...lol)

Long Live RP and all the old pop hits!!
Where has the time gone?  I thought this song was at most 12 years old.  Off by a factor of 2.  Bah.

I'm not quite sure where you are drawing the comparison to Counting Crows. If you listen to the lyrics, the ideas behind the songs aren't anything at all alike. Also, have you heard any other Train song except for this one? I feel that this is again a case where people mark a song down simply because the unwashed masses happen to like it also. Please, if you keep doing this, all we will hear on rp is random foreign stuff and no real rock.

Yeah I hear you but the only thing that gets me through it is the lyrics. I like the lyrics.
This is terrible, I hear this when I\'m at the gym, hardly eclectic.

If you like this song the rest of the CD is even better.

its not deep or anything....but its great alt rock pop, take it for that and enjoy
Certainly not Train\'s best song, by any stretch. Both of their CD\'s have good stuff on them.
