I agree with Edweirdo, but this is funny.

Besides, the llama can't keep time to this complicated rhythm.

Your wish has been granted. Upper right across from "Comments" the little image icon. Click & all images in feed magically disappear. You're welcome. Me? I'm rockin' out with the lamma.

I don't give a hoot about the animated gifs! I'm here for the music! Some of them are actually funny (none on this tune). My favorite gif is Bugs Bunny conducting a symphony, on some of the classical music tunes played on RP! ...Merrie Melodies cartoons introduced me to classical music when I was a small child!

As far as the GIFs an d such, It is mostly a music show and as such I never pay attention to the graphics but you can usually rid yourself of distraction by seeking another point of view.

Huh! This song is playing on both the Main RP Mix and World/Eclectic Mix simultaneously. That's kind of like having a wormhole overlap two alternate universes.

More
accurately, Soles of the Feet

quetzal ( /ˈkɛtsəl/) (Pharomachrus mocinno) =  a bird in the trogon family. It is found from Chiapas, Mexico to western Panama (unlike the other quetzals of the genus Pharomachrus, which are found in South America and eastern Panama). It is well known for its colorful plumage.

Saw these guys way back in 2003 when they opened for Los Lobos.  They were quite good live as I remember.

Huh, I thought it meant plant the pies for the next pie harvest. Maybe I should learn a bit of Spanish.

Another good choice for odd time signatures would be "I'd Be Lying" by Greg Laswell. It's in 5/4, then 2/4, then 7/8, I think. It jumps around like crazy. I've never heard a song with a more odd time signature, but it somehow works.

He also has a new song out ("Come Clean") that's in 13/4 for the verses, but 4/4 for the chorus.
Not bad - actually pretty nice!
I started at about a 6 but that sax was truly annoying.  Every squeal pushed my score down another point.

Sorry.  The song had potential.

Very good song. Modern, but captures the cadence and spirit of traditional music. Guys: learn to listen! And BTW... learn a bit of geography and get a bit of musical education. This IS NOT "spanish music". Damn, what's with these people that just say "spanish music" whenever they hear some spanish language or some nylon guitar? What is "spanish music" anyway?

Dude. If you ever come back to this thread, post a few suggestions. I'm sure everyone would like to hear the word from Madrid. Thanks.
These guys played in our Arts Festival here in Warwick NY out on the Black Dirt last summer and it was very cool. Even the locals who couldn't possibly have understood what they were singing were up and dancing. Muy bitchin'
I have to say, the Spanish language station here wouldnt play something this neat. It varies between Latino/latina popstars and these generic mexi-polkas every time I flip by. Go RP!

Saw these guys open for Los Lobos at House of Blues in Vegas a few years ago. Very fun show. Great venue, too.

Bill, This song is great, but the bass seems to be too juiced up. It's really noticeable on the 192 - the first few notes when they hit the intro hammers the subwoofers here. Even in headphones it's fuzzy. Can this be fixed?

I completely agree with you Mana sucks. BTW they even ruined Santana's attempts to reinvent himself, all Carlos' fault though. He should never ever, ever, ever, have invited Mana to play with him. I will be happy to hear any of the other bands you mentioned.
I also dont like Mana, neither do I like Santana, just to repetitive for me. He has the same sound always, and now he has made the same album 3 times in a row. Cafeta Cuba is one of the best bands of latin america. You should also try to get anything from Soda Stereo, specialy the Sueño Stereo Album(MTV unplugged) and any of the lastest Gustavo Cerati Albums (former singer from Soda). Aterciopelados from Colombia are also great and the best acid/jazz/latin comes from Venezuela with Los Amigos Invisibles. Hope that helps. Saludos
Me like.

Not good after Take Five..

In concert the singer does a lot of percussion with her feet, not tap-dancing, but, well, clomping on a mic'd portion of the stage. It's pretty cool.

Err, surely not 11/7 or 9/7. I'll buy 11/8 and 9/8. I know Blue Rondo a la Turk has got 12/8, 9/8 and some weird bars of possibly 11/8. But X/7 is beyond the pale
Some songs just have no tune

This is great. I make a stupid comment, and I learn all kinds of things. My high school GPA would have been so much higher if class was more like this. Thanks everyone. Great song by the way. Anything outside of 4/4 time usually has the ability to impress me.

Many Mexicans feel the same way about Mana. Santana plays on some of their music and it is a welcome break from the disco crap played in most bars in Mexico.

Taco Supreme?
A very relaxed music style. I could see this band working equally well on a large stage or in a more immediate setting like a small cafe or town festival. Yeah, it's in spanish. And the band still swings.

I'm not 100% sure but it means "Plant your feet" or "Planting of the feet". Pies in Spanish refers to one's feet. It's a great song. I tried to locate it on iTunes but could not find it.
