-- translation --

I look up when I walk
So the tears won't fall
Remembering those happy spring days
But tonight I'm all alone

I look up when I walk
Counting the stars with tearful eyes
Remembering those happy summer days
But tonight I'm all alone

Happiness lies beyond the clouds
Happiness lies above the sky

I look up when I walk
So the tears won't fall
Though my heart is filled with sorrow
For tonight I'm all alone

Remembering those happy autumn days
But tonight I'm all alone

Sadness is in the shadow of the stars
Sadness is in the shadow of the moon

I look up when I walk
So the tears won't fall
Though my heart is filled with sorrow
For tonight I'm all alone

The world really is a small place. How else could you explain the Yiddish word Schmaltz so perfectly describing this packaged-for-the-west Japanese dreck ?(Thanks, Germany)
Check the interesting AMG entry. It was created for the Japanese market only. The westernized version did not do nearly as well.
This song & the Andy Griffith Show really helped me improve my whistling talents. I really like this song. Keep up the great work. :D
I like this.
My first time hearing this selection. Very cool!

EEEOOOOOWWW! Now there's a blast from the past! Eclectic Radio for the 21st Century! :bananabanger:
Well it fits the bill of 'eclectic' ... BTW, when the song first started I flashed back to the movie version of MASH
Oh, God, what rock did this crawl out from under? This just brings up stale, not so happy memories of my youth. Not heard in decades, best forgotten. Just my opinion. Sorry if your's differs. I usually hate whistling in songs. This one might have been the reason.
This is a great song and a classic. Thanks so much for playing it.
This is a joke, right? Right? Right?? 8O

I have the original 7" of this! Got it from my aunt when she went off to college. I credit Kyu Sakamoto with giving me an appreciation for finger-snappin' lounge music. Very, very cool. And when Taste of Honey covered it, I was the only one in town to know it was a cover. :P
Ok, who switched Bill's meds??
Oh come on !! What is this Karioke hour..??
