Let us put man and woman together
And see which one is smarter
Some say men but I say no
The women got the men like a puppet show

Ain't me, it's the people they say
The men are leading the women astray
But I say, it's the women today
Are smarter than the men in every way

That's right
The women are smarter
That's right
The women are smarter

A little boy sat down and cried
An old man passing asked him why
He said I can't do what the big boys do
Old man sat down and he cried, too

Ain't me, it's the people that say
The men are leading the women astray
But I say, it's the women today
Are smarter than the man in every way

That's right
The women are smarter
That's right
The women are smarter

It ain't me, it's the people that say
The men are leading the women astray
But I say, it's the women today
Are smarter than the men in every way

That's right
The women are smarter
That's right
The women are smarter
That's right
The women are smarter
Smarter than the men in every way

That's right
The women are smarter
That's right
The women are smarter
That's right
The women are smarter
Smarter than the men in every way

That's right
It's the people that say
The men are leading the women astray
But I say, it's the women today
Are smarter than the men in every way
That's right they're smarter

I give Palmer credit; he sure knew how to appeal to women.

is this some kind of weird sick pun?

They're just as silly as if they said that men were smarter.

Hell, I prefer the Simpsons version!!!
How about the I Love Lucy version?
R.P., R.I.P. A 9.
This version is too clean. Sounds like a lounge-act Little Feat cover. Dead version better. You need that Billy/Mickey rhythm section (and hopefully not Bruce Cockburn on keyboards, ick!)
A class act all the way.

Actually, The version I first heard and loved the best is by Harry Belafonte from his Live at Carnegie Hall album

I'm so glad there has been this "renaissance" of Robert Palmer on RP, I have throughoutly enjoyed the music I have heard from prior to the 80's "Didn't mean to turn you on" Palmer.
Palmer OK, Dead better.
