Hey, hey julia, you're acting so peculiar
I know I'd never fool you in a million years
A horn section you resemble and your figure makes me tremble
And I sure would like to handle what's between your ears
You're a temptation to a man
I could not resist you and I won't if I can
You're so unexpected and whatever you injected made me feel how I felt when I sang

Hey, hey julia you're acting so peculiar
I know I'd never fool you in a million years
You're a strain on my eyeses and you're full of surprises
Love materializes soon as you come near.
There's a sensation you create,
Robs me of my sleep and I've forgotten the date
My head started spinning soon as you started singing
And like a fish I just rose to the bait.

Hey, hey julia with your crazy sense of humor
You turn fact into rumor soon as you come near
A horn section you resemble and your figure makes me tremble
And I sure would like to handle what's between your ears
You're a temptation to a man
I could not resist you and I won't if I can.
You're so unexpected and whatever you injected made me feel how I felt when I sang
Julia, you're a danger just like giving sweets to strangers
And I think it's time I took you in hand.

Nice to hear the three-song medly in its original form here on RP. Of the three songs, the middle one (Hey Julia) for some reason never floated my boat. I think it's the slightly out of tune Ooo Ooo Ooo background vocals that take it over the edge (in a bad way) for me. Still, a nice trip down memory lane. Thanks Bill!

Thanks, Bill, for breaking with tradition and playing back-to-back tunes from a single album. I always loved the segues between these songs!
I've always heard these 3 songs played together and have always considered them a medley. While one could play them individually, I think it would be sacrilegous. Thanks, Bill, for keeping the faith!
Haven't heard this in years...still a soulful toe tapper

Stay wherever you go. Showcases the man's raw vocal talent. Nice.
Thanks RP for finding this fine song. Robert Palmer's 70s records were excellent. Great 70s "blue eyed soul" along with David Bowie's Young Americans album and Boz Scaggs.
I will be right back
Nah, this can't be Robert Palmer. His *voice* sounds different. Did he get a lot of voice training after this stuff. Maybe a voice transplant or something.
