I took a picture that I'll have to send
People here are friendly and content
People here are colorful and bright
The flowers often bloom at night
Amanita is the name
The flowers cover everything
The flowers cover everything
There's something here I find hard to ignore
There's something that I've never seen before
Amanita is the name they cover over everything
The flowers cover everything
They cover over everything (Amanita is the name)
The flowers cover everything
Look into the sun
Don't look into the sun
The flowers cover everything
They cover over everything
The flowers cover everything
The flowers cover everything (Amanita is the name)
They cover over everything
The flowers cover every name
There's something that I've never seen before
The flowers often bloom at night
Amanita is the name they cover over everything

Wow, that is a major smack at REM and Pearl Jam. I totally agree as far as Counting Crows goes.
turn it off!

REM s always , well almost always good, this was nice, thank you.
All those REM critics who say that everything they did after their first couple albums was junk?
This song could almost convince me they have a point.
More proof its been all downhill for western civ since the demise of analog.

That is without a doubt the last thing I expected to read here. I think I always played this album with a sense of anticipation for when it got 'round to this song. An absolute favorite from their whole catalog of songs, at least for me. I think you and your friends were missing out.

Good album, but my favorite song from it was always "Superman".
A hidden gem from an under appreciated album.
A year between plays?!?

They truly were alternative. A real breath of fresh air back then.

I don't know about "all downhill," but I can say that when I was in college and this came out I was a stalwart LP collector, and I really enjoyed this song as the opening of "Supper Side" versus "Begin the Begin" as the opening of "Dinner Side."
Bill & Rebecca--spin it again!
