It's not bad, but I was bored by the end of the song.
I suspect Taj Mahal performed this before Janis Joplin did, but does anyone know for sure?

He was too busy making scathing remarks to self-righteous religious types ("You brood of vipers! You white-washed tombs!") and telling rich folks they've got about as much chance getting into heaven as a camel getting thru the eye of a needle...
The song itself is great - any cover rocks.....
This man is really taking this song (which is a satire on how cheaply people regard their religion) way too seriously.
Great cover. I love the Taj. But Zia does this one best.
I like Taj this way, and I like him with the full, big blues band sound, and I even like the kids songs he's done. My three year old agrees - and occasionally breaks into the "Funky Bluesy ABC's." Taj is a versatile talent, and cool enough to do his thing without worrying about it.
Very cool rendition. Taj's voice is perfect for this song.
