Finally woken
Finally woken

I've been thinking 'bout things
For a long while
I'm Feeling so calm
I've got a big smile
I have a view of the sun
Right over the sea
And now I can feel
Life is flowing through me

You see I've finally woken
From a long sleep
I'm ready to jump
To make that blind leap
'Cause I now believe
I have the power in me
I've got the faith baby
I can truly be free

Finally woken
Finally woken

Child don't worry it's OK
The sun is out for another day
And I say it'll be alright (be alright)
Today's the first day of the rest of your life
Remember, remember, remember this, remember

Child don't worry it's OK
The sun is out for another day
And I say it'll be alright (be alright)
Today's the first day of the rest of your life
remember, remember, remember this, remember

Child don't worry it's OK
The sun is out for another day
Today's the first day of the rest of your life
And I say it'll be alright (be alright)
Remember, remember, remember this, remember

Finally woken
Finally woken
Finally woken
Finally woken
And I say it'll be alright
And I say it'll be alright

Just about the weakest artist on RP. Still, at least nothing actually sucko-barfo here.
Oh my, the pic of Jem is certainly a blast from the past. How I used to wish I could be one of Jem's Rockers! Flashback aside, I enjoy most of what I hear from Jem... this song is just okay in my book.
This song has grown on me over time although I could do without the bass and drums mix.

hmmm... i didn't realize jem was still around. i guess i haven't seen her on saturday morning cartoons in a while.
Going to see Jem at the end of Oct. - looking forward to it! This is a good song - but I like some of the full release songs a bit better...
I couldn't beleive this was Jem. Sounds like Beth Orton meets morcheeba indeed.

Hmmmmm not sure about this. She's getting all the Hype over here, I think it's immediately forgettable. And am I the only one who thinks she sounds exactly the same as the female vocalist from Morcheeba?
Reminds me of Beth Orton.

Wow. What a shiny happy song!
I bought this album on my last trip to the US after hearing this on RP, as it is not available in the UK. The whole album is excellent and gets played a lot on my iPod :)
Those Holograms really know how to rock.
Jem had the most bitchin cartoon in the 80's!! Pink hair rocks!

Sounds like she had a beta copy of Apple's Garageband.
Finally everybody can be a star, thanks to Apple's Garageband (or at least be able to imagine being one)
Helping me wake up too. Thanks, Jem!!

personel meditation music.... always good for a uplifting sense...
Man, all I heard was Dido in that song - does she go by another name now?
Sounds like she had a beta copy of Apple's Garageband.

Rather catchy pop.
Too catchy - I can't get the damn thing out of my head now, and I'm sick of it!
Rather catchy pop.
Jem! Jem is truly outrageous, truly truly truly outrageous. Whoa, Jem! I have got to wonder if she's from the generation that grew up watching that cartoon. The music is pretty good, but the name just cracks me up! :propeller.gif:
Jem is truly outrageous, truly, truly, truly outrageous!
