Again and again
I get up and say
I only want to get it right
I only want to do the right thing
But all these demons harass my soul
I won't be today
I'm alone again
No one can make that alive
No one can say they're better
Not when all this freedom you get is a lie
Again and again
I get up and say
I only want to get it right
I only want to do the right thing
But all these demons harass my soul
I won't be today
I'm alone again
No one can make that alive
No one can say they're better
Not when all this freedom you get is a lie
Again and again

One of my favourite roadtrip albums ever
As aspicer said, I'm happy to see this song back in the rotation. Love the Dandy Warhols and this is one of my favorites from them. It manages to be trippy and tortured and fun all at the same time.
Hear later Talk Talk vibes here
Incredible track from an awesome album - their best album for sure. Glad to see this back in rotation.
I got to hang with them (with maybe only 25 other people) for sound checks and pre-show warm ups just before C-19. They are really good people, very fun (as you might assume), and even played a special request tune that was not in the setlist that night just for my wife and me during the pre-show. What an evening!

Shame, this should be on regular rotation....

These guys may be ironic most of the time, but the Dandys still rule. Can't wait to see them again soon at Center Stage in Atlanta.
Gets better and better every time I hear this. Spinning away on a day dream and relaxation.
Loooooove that segue from Single Gun Theory to this. It's getting a lil bit existential up in here.
Just saw them in Chicago, including meet & greet - REALLY fun. Highly recommend seeing them on their tour if you are a fan. The VIP upgrade is very much worth it - soundcheck, hang and talk with them, and 2 private songs...

This is a new track for me, but i reckon it sounds like the Dandys' own cover of 'Hells Bells'. Wonder which they came up with first . . .
Sounds like a song waiting to happen. Actually, it sounds like another one of their songs waiting to happen. Name escapes me...

"Sleep", perhaps, or "Rest Your Head." First time I've heard this, though, and I love it. Fredriley's stated that the Dandys mix in a lot of schlock with some great tunes. Maybe so, but I like 'em.

For this song they actually added a *fourth chord*! They finally learned another one! WTG guys!

That was an excellent documentary, Dandy's couldn't carry Jonestown's jock straps especially when it comes to creativity.
If you dig the Dandies as I do you should check out the documentary done about them and the Brian Jonestown Massacre called DiG!

Some of the members of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club are in it as well. Great stuff if you like these bands and good commentary on the business of music.

I don't think it quite works that way. If you hit PSD, don't like that song, press Stop then PSD again, you'll get a different song. I think there must be an algorithm at work which looks at the current main channel song and finds 'opposites' in terms of listener ratings. Or something. I'm sure it's been explained on the listener fora but I never go there. Anyway, it's a clever way of keeping listeners on board, and I second your kudos.
PSD looks at your ratings. You'll never hear anything you've rated 3(?) or less. That's why you need an account for PSD.

The title seems to have no relationship to the lyrics. The lyrics are about what some call "determinism". They dont seem very interesting to me but this sounds pretty good. 8
Hypnotic 10!
intro of song is very sucks, but sounds good when the intro ends.
Stop draggin' my heart around.

Well, I hit the PSD button for the first time ever, taking pride in my ability to listen to all manner of different music. The surprise is that my "now playing" screen details made the jump with me. (No more Val Indica stuff; info on Dandy Warhols instead.)
So, my curiosity has been awakened: in essence, Bill programs two parallel but distinct channels, right? Jumping from one to the other carries all the webpage accoutrements to complement the 'active channel.' Not a trivial piece of webwork. Kudos to you, Bill and Rebecca, to your vision, and to your programmers.

At least an 8 on first listen. I think I'm going to have to take the advice of several posters & buy this album to give it a few listens through.
Love the sparkly psychedelic guitar patterns-nostalgia for those days!
Awesome.
Don't think there's a bad track on this.....
...aw, why'd the standard production have to come in and wash away my zone?..
Great song, great album one that I always come back too and as said below best listened to in one go.
LOVELY!
Seemingly simple - obviously gorgeous!
Completely agreed. One of my favorite albums ever.

Unbelievable album, no question their peak performance, IMHO. This song is a good representation of the album's spiritual nature, moodiness, and power. Only RP would play this track.....THANK YOU!

I wonder today, I'm alone, but then
No one can make their own life
No one can say that they're an island, when
All this freedom you get is a lie
Always EXELLENT with their best songs!
