Good drumming. Where have I heard that style before?
A 7 off the top.
that acoustic guitar with the Big Drum sound (almost Bonzo-like) is very winning. don't even care if she's singing about the Dewey Decimal System!
Ripple-y Cane?
I didn't think I liked this...then it kind of started getting better. It seems sort of predictable, and then it moves just a little bit and gets better.
Not bad at all. Quite reminds me of a UK artist called Thea Gilmore (particularly on her Rules for Jokers album).
AHHH thats who she reminds me of. CARLY SIMON!!!! I really like this song allot. Great guitar work I might add.

shut the white out?
Wow - I don't think I've ever seen the comments so pointedly divided - love or hate, no in between! Not sure if that's good or bad...
Definitely not a fan something about her voice makes me cringe
Sorry, gang. There were a few moments. Then, I started hearing plenty of other songs like this in my head.
Can't get behind this one. What sets artists apart for me when they blend in like this is a live show. Won't have that option, though.
started at a 5 at the beginning. now its a 7. this is a very nice song.
A nice celebration......damn fine lyrics!
Winner!
Humourous cover art too...........

Just love that voice. Just bought CD on cdbaby.com.
Too cool to hear a national play from a gal I actually performed with in Chicago back in '98. She had some very cool stuff back then (time signature changes, different kinds of melodies). It was a pleasure to play with her. Go figure that its her real name too!
ugh
Good run, Bill!

Good voice, week song- nothing different from any other typical average "I am a depresed girl with broken heart or some other problems" song
i'm a sucker for a voice like this.
Anyone no more about this album? Is the rest as good as this?
wow thanks rp!

Nice!

MMMM... this is lovely
As I think I mentioned in the LRC comments forum when this was in review, this is exactly the kind of music I listen to RP to find. Just wonderful.
Nice powerful voice...........
