I blow through here
The music goes 'round and around
Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho
And it comes out here

I push the first valve down
The music goes down and around
Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho
And it comes out here

I push the middle valve down
The music goes down around below
Below, below, deedle-dee-ho-ho-ho
Listen to the jazz come out

I push the other valve down
The music goes 'round and around
Whoa-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho
And it comes out here

I'll never forgive this man for what he did to those two brothers and their struggling Italian Restaurant on what should have been a big night.

Was it really his fault? I blame management.

I grew up in a NJ town that was 50% Italian. Every family played Louis Prima a LOT!  And you NEVER made comments about who's mom made the BEST pasta sauce!  PS: I am not of Italian heritage.

I can't help tapping my foot
He composed "Sing Sing Sing" & Benny Goodman made it famous!

His voice reminded me of Big Night as soon as he started. Just you wait, Louis is coming to dinner. What a great movie!

Versions of the Hokey Pokey charted TWICE in the UK in the 80s...who knew!?! Well Wiki told me about it...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

Heck...it's eclectic enough for RP....give it a twirl BillG!

Which
reminds me of something my recently departed father-in-law had that
surprised us all (as in it wasn't in his nature type of thing) - a sign
that read "what if the Hokey Pokey WAS what it's all about?"

Went to see this movie on a date when it was 1st out in theaters.  Plans were to go for Chinese food afterward.  Came out of this small downtown old style theater and the establishment next door was an Italian restaurant.

Dinner plans changed instantly.

Der Louis ist Prima {#Wink}
Wow this just unlocked some hidden memories from my early childhood
I always knew this was Louis Prima.  But this song will always remind me of college days and summer days, hanging out with my best friends, listening to NRBQ.

that impossible to me forget, the actor Mr. Robert de Niro singing and dancing the song "Just A Gigolo + I Ain't Got Nobody" in a movie where he participated;

note: never played? corrects me if i am been deceptive, i have idea of already having before heard this song here RP Station....... yes….anyway, i would very like to hear this song ...if possible still this year please….

Love Prima His tune from Jungle Book is the best Diney song to date
one of the first jazz songs I ever heard, and I'll never forget it.
Gosh, this guy does a horrible David Lee Roth impression.

I like Louis a lot, but it always sounds like he has a bad sore throat.

Excellent! But when I hear this song, I think of Roy Eldridge playing trumpet on this song. Nobody did it like Roy Eldridge.
My mom always sang this song. Even if she could never carry a tune it brings back lovely memories......
Excellent! Now, how about "Just a Gigolo"? It seems that I remember them playing this on Captain Kangaroo and doing a little dance with it.
