my thoughts this moment . . . apologies to my little sister who tried to get me to pay attention to G.

The whole album is great stuff!
This album is basically now on my all time favorites list. I listen to it all the time. I uploaded Todd Hannigan's album version of Thicker (just got his album yesterday), hopefully it will make the grade at the right time. I like Rainbow off this album (with G Love and JJ) a bit better, but I am partial to Jack moreso than G Love... anyway it's a GREAT album I wish RP would play more of it!
wow... pretty astute! you're right. ThePoose wrote:

Is this what Sugar Ray ripped his sound off of?
just when I thought RP couldn't possibly get any better...

Good to hear G. Love-- next to Ween, the best thing outta Philly these days.
ANY radio station that gives G.Love airplay is automatically elevated to God-like! Thanks , Bill! I met these guys and hung out with them about 3 years ago. They were a lot of fun! Very down-to-earth and cool.

Rodeo Clowns is Jack Johnson. He played with GL & SS quite long before his own stuff was released. It's where I first heard JJ anyway, on Philadelphonic, great album, about 7-8 years ago.
It's cool, but the thing is that it's been the same song for years. They could go further with this.
Groovalicious!!!!!! Yummy
Baby's got sauce!!! 8)

G Love predates all them... (on a side note, i never really paid attention to the lyrics of this song before, and only now do i realize that it's not "alimony-ahhh" #-o )
Not true. Sublime's first recording came 2 years before G. Love's...but who's counting. Regardless. This is fun tune. 8)
oh, YEAH! G Love makes my day. any day. and somehow makes me hanker for cold beverages.

i was wondering if RP had any G. Love. i guess this answers it. nice work. :nodhead: :propeller.gif:

Always liked G & Co. Reminds me of a funky, domestic Paul Simon circa Graceland. Good stuff.
One of my fav's..he has some rhythm, check out "Cold Beverage" or "Milk & Cereal"
It's about time we got some G. Love on RP! Tip to the uninitated: His album Philadelphonic is fantastic and a great place to start. He and Jack Johnson play live together frequently (and on their albums too).
LOOOOVE me some G. Love and Special Sauce.
Nice groove. Kinda Beck meets Sugar Ray meets Sublime or something like that.
This one's mine. Just got back from vacation to find that I have my first "added" track. Yay! And it's getting played too! Anyway, this album is actually a soundtrack, and is basically a Jack Johnson project. I uploaded a couple other tracks from it, but they were turned down.
These guys groove harder than any crackers this side of the Beastie Boys. I'll have to check this album out -- haven't heard it yet. Debut album was a great piece of work, second one kind of turned me off of investigating future releases. Might be time to reconsider.
Kinda funky! :sunny.gif:
