A scream a shout far in the distance
Maybe the first or second floor
Curtains colouring the windows
Never see behind closed doors
A silent siege behind politeness
Domestic harmony for show
Lost in the mirage of a marriage
Outside a world she'll never know

And as I see through the real you
I'm falling straight into
A thousand broken mirrors
I can't hide
And outside the bright lights
Can't hide the pain inside
And I've broken a thousand mirrors
Now it's time
Now it's time
Now it's time
Now it's time

Loving her children with a passion
Protecting them at any cost
Taking the only course of action
There's no more bridges left to cross
Who are the ones that are the guilty?
Who are the ones that bear the scar?
We must not leave our sisters bleeding
We sing this song for Tsoora Shah
And as I see through the real you
I'm falling Straight into
A thousand broken mirrors
I can't hide
And outside the bright lights
Can't hide the pain inside
And I've broken a thousand mirrors
Now it's time
Now it's time
Now it's time
Now it's time

Sinead RIP ❤️

I am often reminded of what a great, unique and powerful voice she had. Alas.

Nice tune. Glad Sinead is still kicking it. But this piece has a strong kinship to those James Bond opening credit theme songs.

Yes very Bondian
I read her memoir and regretted how I was less than kind about some of her behavior over the years.  She was a true rebel. Wish this Sinead was as talented or bold.
Recently watched Nothing Compares, a really touching doc about Sinéad, and wow, she was so fierce and passionate...and such a gorgeous little pixie in spite of her desire to not be desired...gave me even greater admiration and understanding for the woman...

Not a Sinead song though, she's just a guest vocalist.  Understandable mistake however; singular talent that she was she owned everything she touched. Perhaps for this reason she was much in demand as a guest vocalist and there's a whole album of her guest vocal tracks called Collaborations from 2005 which pulls together 17 of them. Worth a listen.

ok how drunk was I when I rated this a 1?! It's a solid 6 - infact no... it's a 7!

I think that her vocals in this song wedded to the trippy music is a most exquisite and perfectly matched pairing. Absolutely electrifying!

I tried...
The discord adds harmony in this song.. ;)
From the lyrics I was prompted to look up Tsoora Shah.  A brutal story.

I have this album and think it's rather good, though this track is not typical for the whole album. In fact, it's the question of liking/disliking Asian Dub Foundation
1000 broken mirrors? That's like a bazzillion years bad luck. I know Sinead is really crap and annoying, but she doesn't desrve that.

Asian Dub Foundation to Patty Griffin.  An AMAZING segue.  Just amazing, Bill!
My camels are loving this.

Not sure about this one . . . Soft porn soundtrack?

Yes.  The board should be free of advertising.  I am appalled that my contributions are paying for someone to post promotional links and advertisment for bands here.

The whole reason I listen here is for commercial free radio.  Same applies for the comments board.
I thought that voice was soooo familiar, and then I looked at the song credits...   Duh.
Sinead is fine, but that other singer has a severe nasal condition that someone should look at.
Sounds like an audition for a James Bond movie sited in the Middle East .
Ack! I love this station so much, and then you ruin it with these ululation jags. Please stop.

Nice lyrics and "umph"

Love almost anything by ADF.

I happen to like the photos.  Keep putting them in!

Yuck
Enjoyment of this song is highly situational.
What's with the background wailing. I kept thinking my baby was crying or a cat was giving birth somewhere in the neighborhood.

This tune beats the everluvin crap outta anything on Sinead's horrible reggae album!  Why couldn't she have just put out a dub album and hired these guys to produce??

If there's an option for inserting photos on the "Add Song Comment" pages, then it´s part of the game. The format and rules were set by the site owners. Enjoy the results! It's a very cool site.
calypsus_1, you're like the coolest person on here.  Keep it up {#High-five}

I love a well-mixed, melodic dub.  Delay is one of my favorite effects.
Nice, good blend w/Sineand.

I have to agree; posting three huge photos in a row is a bit annoying and unnecessary.

Are you on dialup? Because if not, the pictures don't impact your browsing the thread at all. And they bring another dimension to our understanding of the artists involved. They are most welcome!

ADF has some bad, some good and some devine stuff. To me, this in the "devine" category and gets a 10. Connor's voice fits the tune perfectly.

Exactly. I'd love her to sing more and posture less. That's why it's great to hear her doing guest vocals like this and Conjure One.

Gothic Irish performance artist - I find it compelling

Having this follow Waldeck - Memories is really apt, in an understated way.

And I agree.

That guitar has a whiff of the Dengue Fever. (and that backup wailing now that I noticed it)
In a good way.

I listened to the song before I read the comments. It wasn't bad...not a great song but the singing was the best part of it. That and the warbly Hammond. I give it a 6. Not bad.

Nice - liked this one - never heard it before. 7 for me.
Rub-a-dub style rule all the while
sinead, stop screamin for once, willya?
meh
Got a bit of down-beat, mope set going on.
Can't stand ADF...I've seen them 3 times at festivals, nothing original, just angry shouting rubbish!

"I think she is not even that interesting, she just likes to bring attention to herself because musically she is going nowhere." Going nowhere?! - releasing a cd of Irish folk tunes followed by a reggae album... Inbetween working with e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y - 'Vocalist for hire' as some moron described it - doesn't qualify as 'going nowhere' musically, does it!?!?
Nice. Fans of this should check out Jah Wobble's Invaders of the Heart...especially the Rising Above Bedlam CD.

I'd actually say that as a person she seems crabby and angry, but her music is interesting, proactive and alive. 6
