This band is from Amsterdam and lived 5 years. The guitar player, Phantom Frank, got RSI and had to take rest. After that, the band broke up, sadly. Phantom Frank wrote a song called Red Hot Navigator, which was meant to be a soundtrack for the 1975 cult movie Death Race 2000. The Phantom appeared after his repetitive Surf injury, and was seen in follow up bands like the Phantom Four.

Even though there is a tiem period difference, it sounds like it could have been used in the 'Get Carter' movie.
Heeheehee
Nice!
Where do you find them Bill? Brilliant!
Guess Bill didn't have Kraftwerk's version to follow it up, that would be kool.
I prefer it in German Sie sieht gut aus !
I recognized the tune but, maybe if I did not know the original version, I would not have even care about it... as it sounds just like any other surf music.
Sorry if my grammar is not correct, but I do not know how to express my "feeling" about this song...
perhaps a 5 it's good enough...
Greetings from Mexico

the Cardigans did a great cover of this
Wait, I think I can see it...1962 Corvettes and surfboards. Maybe a VW Bug or two. Beaches, those huge bikinis...Is that Frankie and Annette?
Just remembered there is also a version by Snakefinger or the strings version by the Balanescu Quartet...
You are right thiscarup, it was Big Black. Hard core version. If only Senor Coconut would cover it now.

I thought Kraftwerk did the original, not a cover.
I have heard an interesting Killdozer version of it though.
Maybe you're referring to Steve Albini's band, Big Black? That's my wife's favorite cover of the Model.

Kraftwerk does a great cover of this! I'd like to hear them back to back. One is heavy and one is very light!
You ever spank a treble hook? Yowch!
