That's a good point. I'm currently wondering what the hell the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band is doing in MY ipod. Oh well, I guess I'll just go with it, "Ayyy-Meee, what you wanna do....."
Errr - that's Pure Prairie League....
There are much better offerings from this VERY talented band!
'Whenever I see their videos they look too creampuff to be named the killers" C'mon look deeper...not an image thing!

Maybe that was a polite way of saying that song is definitely cheesy. However if we could get someone to launch a rocket at the Killers it might be alright.

I was thinking the same thing - sounds retro to me. The 80's music sound hasn't aged well in most cases.
Decent, but not the best track of this album.
The '80s are alive, and the Killers have 'em!
One of the better tunes from their latest album, great track! 8/10

Exactly what I was thinking just now. Sounds nice though. (Best thing about this tune actually.)

The Killers sound nothing like Interpol!!!!!!!
Only in terms of their contrived, derivative sound(s).
Time to break out the vinyl!

If the Edge is like any other ipod user, some of its contents are extremely suspect, even to the owner.
LOL)))
Suspect or dirty little secret?)))">
Sounds like some of the better underground stuff from the 80s.
Thought this was Franz Ferdinand for a minute.

Another satisfied graduate of the play-guitar-like-Edge school of music!

Well, I missed the song, but I love the way the title works with the group's name. Good as my favorite, maybe: The Fine Young Cannibals' The Raw and the Cooked.
Whatever happened to FYC, by the way? I loved them in the late 80s, early 90s. Then they disappeared.

It's a two-way street though. According to the September issue of Guitar World, The Edge has the Killers in his ipod.

Ok, "Killers".... here is a deal:
You PLAY like you mean it, and
I will SMILE like I mean it.
mmm..........
I knew it.
Didn't think you could pull it off. :x

The Killers have worn holes in all of their U2 records. Hard to believe they are from Vegas.

I hear U2 new years day (?) in that opening melody and it repeats during the chorus.... anyone else agree or am I hearing things?
Are you sure you don't mean "City of Blinding Lights" from -How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb ? (click here)
Man! Everyone wants to play Edge guitar!

Could be - gotta hear it again. Please? :D
i don't want to for the principle of it, but i like 'em...
though that "IT'S INDIE ROCK AND ROLL TO ME!" song from this record is pretty nauseating.
i was a little disappointed by anton corbjin's video for these guys, too. too bad...

I like this band so far what I've heard.

HUH - How is that possible? The Killers sound nothing like Interpol!!!!!!!
I love these sorts of protests. It usually means there's a subtly nuanced difference between the two artists in question and only the most gravely fanatic know what it is.

they do..
I love the Killers! Seeing them in concert tomorrow night, can't wait!
Oh, my goodness! Two songs ago, the Stranglers...now the Killers. And to think Bill & Rebecca wouldn't play If I Had a Rocket Launcher because they didn't agree with the sentiments!
i love this album, but will never see them again live, short shows and very boring on stage, no personality whatsoever.
Well, I missed the song, but I love the way the title works with the group's name. Good as my favorite, maybe: The Fine Young Cannibals' The Raw and the Cooked.
i'm not saying that this is a great song, but just in case you like the genre and like echo guitar work, you basically might want to try listening sometime to the Chameleons UK...
cool album art

I saw these guys open up for the Pixies.
Wait, does that mean you saw them at Bumbershoot? Cause it wasn't exactly them opening considering they were on completely different stages.
thought it was interpol

...and the song too!
I discounted these guys as just another one of the recently emerging garage bands but I absolutely love every song on this album and think they definitely stand out. I hope they continue after this and don't end up falling into obscurity (where are they now?).
good album.
try "Mr. Brightside", "Believe Me Natalie", "Somebody Told Me" too. better tracks, imho.
I saw these guys open up for the Pixies. They did alright. The drummer was pretty good, but the whole time he was on stage, he reminded me of Mary's brother from There's Something about Mary. I can't explain it any better other than to say, it would not be difficult to imagine him tearing through the crowd repeating, "beans and franks, beans and franks, beans and franks..."
:D ...I mean it.
