Come to me
I'll take care of you
Protect you
Calm, calm down
You're exhausted
Come lie down
You don't have to explain
I understand
You know
That I adore you
You know
That I love you
So don't make me say it
It would burst the bubble
Break the charm
Jump off
Your building's on fire
And I'll catch you
I'll catch you
Destroy all that is keeping you down
And then I'll nurse you
I'll nurse you
I'll protect you
You know
That I adore you
You know
That I love you
So don't make me say it
It would burst the bubble
Break the charm
I'll take care of you
Protect you
Calm, calm down
You're exhausted

Absolute beauty <3
This is a true cri de coeur, a passionate and authentic expression of love - lucky the person whom she was addressing it to. She sure does have some lungs as well.
A sound like this belongs on the opening or closing credit track of a James Bond flick. Unless Bjork did that already.
Not bad, but two or three listens is enough.

Swell, all those happy Bjork-free days come to a skidding halt...
This album is 20 years old.
Holy shit.
Holy shit.
A nine'r for me...welcome to Bangkok ;-)
marvelous... love this...
Bjork like as only Bjork can
Kinda Goldfrappy. I like it.
Chick can sing

Lovely. And to think I that at one time I disliked her music so much, and now I'm buying it. All those wasted years.....
Always distinctive, I love her voice and the airy way she presents the lyrics. She's a little out there, but why not? She's unique and I love it!
Anyone see her on Colbert? She is definitely unique

Hi all this is a beautiful track! nice textures in her voice and this live track has a great string section https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4x-l0sRO_ls worth checking out. Anyone going to see her in Manchester?

Bjork's newer albums have gotten weirder and less accessible, but I really dig this album and this track especially. I probably need to pick up the Sugarcubes' compilation album at some point...

I have a strange crush on Bjork. Can't really figure it out...but she's sort of an unexplainable draw to me. Maybe because she doesn't try to be "sexy"...it makes her that way. Not sure....Geeez.

Been a big fan since i saw her at our Art School in the late '80s, when she was in the Sugarcubes - what an energy charged performance. Then saw her solo touring with this album, my goodness....
Again a great mix thank you RP.

Always been my favorite Bjork song. Thanks for playing RP, as I have never heard it played anywhere but my cd player!
Saw her live this summer, it was so beautiful and touching. She sang all my favourite songs.

One of my top 5 favorite female voices, period. Excellent debut.

I can't say I'm a big fan of Bjork's, but then, strangely, she's done at least two songs of the most transcendent beauty I can imagine: this one and "All is Full of Love." Come to Me is the music I'd want in my head if I suddenly found myself able to fly. I don't know, it's just a flying groove. And some of the sexiest (but not necessarily sexual) lyrics I know of. This song succeeds on every level, including her voice, which, as we all know, doesn't do it for everyone, myself included. An easy 10.
I feel exactly the same way, except maybe that a few more of her songs get to me.

Only thing that detracts from this is the annoying compression artifacts on the hi-hat...
I like this music. It's cjool.
Does nothing for me, but you guys go right ahead and discuss amongst yourselves.

Yes, Goddess.
Bjork's in the same boat as u2 on these boards. People tend to rate them based on their preconceived opinion of the artist ("I hate their politics", or "She's nuts") instead of the song on it's own merit.
Ah well. I'm sure I'm guilty of it from time to time...

Yes Bjork can be weird but I do dig her music.
If I ever had a dinner date with her at a fancy restaurant, I'd expect her to wear the swan outfit rather than an evening dress.
I heard somewhere this gal has her captain's license and her own yacht she uses to travel across the ocean with. How cool is that?
Outstanding talent!
She's out there, but there is no denying how good this is.
Hold the phone, she is going to be nursing someone?
homina homina voot voot voot.
Gosh folks, her music isn't bad ... her voice is thin and nasal but I'll bet if I said that about at least a dozen male singers who are popular you'd howl.
Her looks (Inuit, North American Indian, exotic) have nothing to do with her singing. Her swan outfit was pretty sexy, actually and made me think that perhaps I could be a Certain Bull-Like Creature to her Certain Swan-Like Creature (mythology for the ill-educated).
Her politics and public face are something else again, but that still doesn't detract from her music.
I give her a six ... she's "OK" not "outstanding, etc.

What about you, do you like any music ? What about the hidden 10% that you don't consider crap.
i love the environment she creates and i love spinnning in her orbit. don't break the charm!

Why you little twit! She's HOT! And yes, I'm told most all Icelandic women look similar.
This is a pretty good song from a very good album. That was quite a refreshing CD when it came out. We could use more like it.
One of her best songs.
I also recommend "All Is Full Of Love" if you like this song. That song also comes with one of the greatest music videos I know.

Not as good as I remember it. Hasn't aged particularly well.

I'll be bachelor #2 on that one, after she sends you off the island (or should I say Iceland). I can see it now. A bunch of pork chops like myself coming to port on a boat dressed like the Gorton's seafood fishermen. Bjork waiting to meet us in an evening gown. Call the Fox network. I even have some titles: The Bjork Next Door, Courting Bjork, The Bachelors & Bjork.
